Hi again!
I am so excited … I have a whole day today to devote to planning for a “card buffet” … so that means I can stamp to my heart’s delight!!! Yay! Haven’t had time to do that for ages. And … I am looking forward to sharing my creations with you!
But … in the meantime … here are a couple more cards that I made several months ago … and thought you might like to see them!
Both cards are created using the pretty “Scribble This” stamp set but both are quite different! I must have been in a pink/blue mood when I created these … cos I know that they were created around the same time!
This first sample is just simple stamping … but I have used my markers direct to rubber to create multi coloured images … with larger images such as the swirl … don’t forget to “huff” on your stamp after inking it … to make sure it has not dried out. Colours used for this card: Pink Passion, Cool Caribbean, Lovely Lilac. After inking & stamping I have added some dazzling diamonds to the main images with a 2-way glue pen. The sparkle is so pretty! An extra trim of Cool Caribbean with random stamped flowers & a couple of lilac brads add the final touch. You could easily add an oval phrase just across the top of this strip of card. This is a great card for a make & take … very quick and easy!
My second Scribble This card is a long time favourite … I had it in my sample box for ages! I just love watercolouring with this set … and I must try it with the “Floating Watercolour” technique sometime soon! I think it would be perfect! This card is created using Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal & Basic Black. The images have all been stamped with black Stazon ink … which is the best ink for watercolouring. I have added colour from my stamp pads by using them as a palette (squeeze the pad before opening and this creates a pool of colour in the lid). Pick up the colour with an aqua painter and paint onto your image. After it is dry I go back and add a little more colour around the edges to give some depth & highlights. The main flower has been stamped on scrap (whisper white) card and then coloured & cut out. I have also stamped the large flower onto the Pretty in Pink card & Basic Black card & cut around the images to layer behind the main flower image. Some pretty pink organza (ret. SU!) ribbon & a pink rhinestone brad finishes it off beautifully. Again … you could add a small phrase in the bottom right corner of this card! I think this is a perfect example of how beautifully black works with some colours. This card just would not be the same without the black, don’t you think???
So … off to do some creating! Hope you have a fun day too!
