Phew! I spent all day yesterday on the computer … and I still haven’t caught up!!! I just don’t know where the time gets to!!!
I did some updates on my blog that were a little overdue … added some projects to my website … and a couple of things to my events calendar … chased emails (that had been disappearing into cyberspace!) … submitted a couple of orders … and worked on a flyer for the NEW SUMMER MINI CATALOGUE LAUNCH! (I will show you that one later!) So … here I am taking a little time out again … before zooming off to Gav’s mum’s place for the day … to do a post for you all.
I had promised to show you a card using that adorable image “handmailed” that Lee-Anne so kindly sent to me. I have actually completed 2 cards … but only time to share one today! Will show you the other sometime soon!
I had all the papers & cardstock for my Christmas Class on my desk … so I grabbed some of the Ski Slope DSP … and the colours came from the combo on these papers. (Yep! How did you guess … I still haven’t got around to cutting the card packs for Friday!!!
) I do need to get a wriggle on!!! Anyway … here is the cute cute card …
Can you see that I actually coloured the bear/hedgehog & the snow top twice and cut around the second of each and layered (tolled) these on top of the background image to give a 3D look? I am such a fan of the dotty chocolate satin ribbon that is one of the ribbons in the Valet Ribbon Originals Pack. I have also added a little “bling” (Dazzling Diamonds) onto the snow – it is a lttle hard to see in the pic … And … see the rhinestones??? You can create these really easily from your Rhinestone brads. (A hint from Convention) All you need to do is open the two brad “legs” at the back of the brad … and carefully open the other tiny clips that hold the rhinestone in the brad … and pop the rhinestone out the back of the brad. Simple! Now you can stick them straight onto the card with some mini glue dots! It’s a great trick … especially if you have already stuck your card pieces together and feel as if the card needs something more!
Hope you enjoyed seeing this one … and thanks so much to Lee-Anne for supplying me with this sweet image! Can’t wait to show you my other card … but … I still have to do the card recipe … so … you will have to be patient …
