So … another funeral … another sad day! But … I guess everyone has times like this … life is just like that! I’m sure you have all had hard times to deal with …
Anyway … When Tim was in hospital (he was in ICU and no one was allowed to visit – apart from immediate family) … and everyone was asking what they could do to help … Tim requested that all his friends send in their favourite bible verses. I had started working on some cards for him … before I heard the sad news … but then his mum asked if we could still send them to her … as she was collating them all in a photo album as a keepsake. So … I managed to finish these off last night! One each for all my family to send … with their favourite verse. This is not an absolute favourite … but I chose this verse because it reminded me of Tim … and I know his mum will find comfort in these words. “I the Lord have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles.” Isa 42 v 6 I know Tim’s life is going to be a light to all those who knew him. So … here are my cards … ready for the verses to be chosen by my kids & hubby. I hope they are a comfort and help to Tim’s mum & dad.

Tomorrow … something a little more cheery … I have another “Hand Mailed” to share!!!

Andrea, these are beautiful and you shd be very very proud of them. I am sure that the cards and the words that they hold will provide comfort and solace for thse who read them. I think my fave is the Uncharted Territory card. V masculine and strong, yet calming and soothing for the aching soul. Beautiful job darl and I hope they provided some therapy for you too. ooxx

people are eager to share in the good times but it has been my experience (i have had three siblings and my dad die in the last seven years) that people tend to not say anything for fear of upsetting you. however i would have welcomed a friend so generous as you to share a card, a verse or a cup of tea. tim’s mom will be forever grateful for what you had started and for what you finished …a keepsake from your heart to hers.

Andrea these verse cards are just beautiful……what a lovely keepsake for Tim’s mum …..I’m sure she will be looking at them often……..such a thoughtful gesture. I hope and pray that life is settling down for you and your family……it’s been a tough couple of weeks….. but God is good and he has sustained you all through it……..hugs xxxx
