Hello everyone!

I guess you may have been wondering where I have been? Or … is that just me kidding myself that anyone noticed at all??? Thursday was Zone Swimming Carnival at Nowra (1 hr drive down the coast) with Sandy … then Stace & Jono were here for dinner and then Friday was spent visiting my “gi-gi” upline Onie in Sydney with Pepps (Leonie N) & some other demo-s for a team lesson day. And … then Gav & I caught up with friends for dinner. This morning we have been to Sydney (1 1/2 hr drive) to see Stace & Jono off at the airport … they left at lunch time for 3 1/2 weeks in Canada!!! Sandy had soccer training this arvo … so I popped down to visit my mum & dad … so here I am finally after 3 days of trying to get here!!! Better late than never, I guess … did you miss me?

So … here is another pink card! (Sorry, Lynda!) You probably all think that pink is my favourite colour … and I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that … BUT … my favourite colour is actually green!!! This card is pretty self explanatory … so all the details can be found in the card recipe below. I love the sweet sayings in this set … and now that we have a BUTTERFLY PUNCH (available in the current mini catalogue ONLY until March 31) … it is so quick and easy to create a pretty card! Did you notice I did the “Rock & Roll” technique on the butterfly?? (Technique details on card recipe!)

I hope you are having a great weekend. We are doing pizza night tonight with the kids … and watching the Winter Olympics as it is winding down … and thinking about Stace & Jono on their way to Vancouver as I write! (6 hours into the trip now!) I might get here tomorrow … but Sunday is always my family day … so perhaps I will see you again on Monday?? Thanks for stopping by to visit. For Everything, Kaleidoscope DSP

Hello again!

Gav has just organised a new plan for our internet downloads … and although we are still restricted each month … we do have a little more to play with! So … the new Gigs kicked in this month (Feb) and we also had a bonus 2G download just for the first month! So … I have been doing something that we are NEVER allowed … and I have taken the opportunity to view some video tutorials! I found some beauties … some from Leonie S’ team forum … but some I have gone searching for myself. I do have a couple more bookmarked for some new punches that will be coming from SU! – hopefully in the new IB&C in September … so I won’t add those links until they are relevant to us! You will see all the links in my left side bar – including one for the Big Shot that is coming in April & one for our Circle Cutter! I hope you find them useful! I will add more as I find them … but won’t be quite as free to view them once February is over!

So … time for a card …

Another Kaledeidoscope card! And … yes … I have almost completely used up my whole pack of papers (between several cards & my calendar.) BUT … I couldn’t resist buying another pack!!! I won’t be using it any time soon … but I did want to have some more because there are very few Bold Brights DSP in the SU! list … and sometimes you just want that bright funky look! It will be nice to reach for it when I am in the mood!   Don’t you love these flowers that I have cut from the DSP??? And how well do they team with the gorgeous “For Everything” stamp image! Jus’ Gorjuss!!!

My two girls had a fun night each last night … Skye went off to the T/20 cricket match in Sydney with a friend from school and her friend’s Dad & brother. Now … this is not normally something I would allow on a school night … as she arrived home at 12.15am … BUT … she had missed out on going to the cricket with everyone else this year (due to her musical) so I relented and let her go! She had an absolute ball … and it was a great night … and … OF COURSE … the Aussies won – meaning an undefeated summer of cricket.  

Sheree is still in Sydney with her best friend Tabitha. They stayed overnight in a hotel after going to see “Wicked” the musical … a treat for Tab’s birthday! I haven’t yet heard from her this morning … but Skye & I are sooooooo jealous of her outing!!! I’m sure she also had a FABULOUS time! 

And … me???? I went to the “Meet the Teacher” night at school!!!!!!!!! Say no more!!!

Anyway … I feel some stamping coming on! Promised Leonie that I would do her forum challenge  … and I am trying to do some “cupcake” cards for our “Crazy for Cupcakes” stall at the School Country Fair … better get cracking! Have a nice day!

Hi girls

I have been out all day and am off to “Meet the Teacher” night tonight … but just stopping by quickly to give you a card! Love this Razzle Dazzle Stamp Set!!!

And … this is another favourite colour combination. Pink & Black are just a perfect pair! Isn’t it just lovely when you can team your ribbon perfectly to your card colour! I love that SU! makes that possible! The tiny half pearls were a gift from Silke Ledlow and are not SU! But … I just love them … and they give a gorgeous touch to the card.

Hope you are having a lovely day. I had better fly … I also have to finish the corrections on the newsletter. Hope you are also getting a chance to watch some of the Winter Olympics! I love it all … can’t pick my favourite event … but I love the figure skating and ice dancing. Love the new Ski Cross & the Board Cross. And … of course … love the aerials with 3 Aussie girls in the final 12!!! Can’t wait to see how they do tomorrow in the final.

Sorry, Lynda! I know this is VERY PINK! Perhaps the next will be more pleasing??? See how dedicated I am … my nail polish is colour coordinated!!! So … the S-A-B stamp is the gorgeous flourish oval frame + the “For You” phrase stamp. A great set called “Vintage Labels” which has 3 lovely frame stamps + 3 small phrases that fit inside each!

And … another cute cute set that I showed you in my last post called “Good Neighbours”. This set includes 3 sweet houses + 3 roofs + 3 cute trees + a cloud stamp. And … I have just found a clever new technique to create a sky background … that I will probably show my girls at my next “technique class”. I am hoping to start this regular class in March … so keep watching for details.

So … monotone cards, today! Must have been in “that” mood when I was creating these for our team meeting samples last week!  The stamping on this card is done in Tangerine Tango, Cameo Coral & Apricot Appeal. All images were positioned using my stamp-a-ma-jig. Easy Peasy!

Off to do newsletter … busy week this week! Sandy has his zone swimming carnival on Thursday! (Did I tell you I am a little over zone swimming carnivals???) Sandy loves competing … and I really wouldn’t want to miss it for his sake … but I would rather be stamping!!!

Sale-A-Bration Team Swap + samples

SAB'10 Good Neighbours, SAB'10 Whimsical Words

Hello again!

It was lovely to be back at team training for the first time in 2010! We always enjoy the “get-together” … and it is great to share ideas and catch up. Our team swap for this month was “Sale-A-Bration” (of course!) We are so excited about this promotion because it means EVERYONE can earn FREE RUBBER. Here is my team swap using the “Good Neighbours” & the “Whimsical Words” S-A-B stamp sets …

I have to acknowledge the inspiration came from a card I found at SCS … and traced back to Amy’s blog … who had actually CASED this design from Lianne! Thanks for the mojo help, girls!!! Isn’t it a sweet design! And … I just love those Chunky Sprinkles! I did use my stamp-a-ma-jig to position all the images exactly where I wanted them … but with a master sheet of images on vellum … this didn’t take long at all! A card recipe is attached at the end of this post.

I wanted to show you a few other team samples using the wonderful Sale-a-bration stamp sets … if I haven’t acknowledged you as the designer – let me know and I will update this post! (I wasn’t sure who put up all of these for display at training!)

CORRECTION ADDED 23RD FEB: The card on the top left is created by Jenny as well as the 2 pink flower cards in the centre. The little oval house card is created by Ness and the Heart Box at the bottom is also one of Jenny’s creations!

Did you notice the gorgeous embossing on Ness’ card bottom left? And … I love the way she had layered the lovely Vintage Label image & the Whimsical Word image. Very elegant! Very inspirational! And … here is a lovely double sided – folded chipboard calendar that Leonie designed for one of her stamp club nights. Can you see the Sale-a-bration stamp??? It is from the “Vintage Labels” set. One I know I am going to use HEAPS!!!

Days to Remember Calendar, Jumbo Outline Alphabet, Kaleidoscope DSP, Polka Dot Punches

Hi girls!

Sorry … no post yesterday … but I am hoping to give you 2 today to make up for it!!! The first is another couple of pages from my Perpetual Calendar using the “Days to Remember” SU! calendar. You will remember (how could you forget!!! ) that I have based this calendar around the gorgeously pretty Kaleidoscope DSP from the current Summer Mini Catalogue. So … I think we are up to “July” …

I have used a few non SU! embellishments on some of these pages … but this one is TOTALLY Stampin’ Up! Isn’t the pink/green/orange a lovely combination!

Lots of punching on these pages … I have used the Scallop Circle Punch, the Trio Flower punch, the 5-Petal Flower punch. You can imagine how quickly this page came together … when almost all the images could just be stamped and punched! The stamp set is one of last year’s Sale-a-bration sets called “Polka Dot Punches”. The brads are SU! Soft Subtles brads. I must remember to get my crimper out more … because I really love the look of this added accent. Another bright funky page!   And … here is August …

You can see that once again I have used the colourful large image from the DSP to create my main accent.

The glitter is the yummy orange SuperNova glitter … the flowers and rhinestones are non SU! I love the double scalloped edge contrasted against the white. 

I hope you pop back a little later … I want to show you the swap for our team training on Wednesday night that I created using one of the cute Sale-a-bration FREE STAMP SETS!!! And … if I have time … I have taken some photos of some other gorgeous creations from other team members … all using the FAB Sale-a-bration sets! So … keep watching … I will be back with more!

Scallop Notes II

Hi guys!

Another new item in the Summer Mini are these adorable little “Scallop Notes II”. I showed you a pack of cards that I created for the Summer Mini Launch … but wanted to share another little card using these gorgeous notelets. I love the fact that these are precut and prescalloped and the envelopes fit them perfectly.

Two of these colours are from this year’s in-colours “Pink Pirouette” and “Baja Breeze”! They both team really well with the Chocolate Chip to make a nice combination in the pack.

I have used the pretty “For Everything” stamp set also from this Summer Mini catty. It is such a versatile sweet set … so easy to create a “WOW” project.

And … of course … you can decorate the envelope to match! This would make a great gift set in double quick time. Create a little gift box with an acetate lid … and voila! (Now there’s an idea I must try for myself!) If only I had more time to play!

For Everything, Kaleidoscope DSP

Hello again!

I have a little card to share with you … once again inspired by the Kaleidoscope DSP from the Summer Mini. Seriously … if you would like some inspiration to create some fun and bright cards … but just don’t know where to start … then you do need to get some of these papers. (Only available until Mar 31) We haven’t had any Bold Brights DSP in quite a while … so don’t miss out!

This is a cute size for a card … but you probably won’t see that from the pic. (Smaller than normal size) Isn’t the set just the sweetest ever??? I have used my markers to do multi-colour images. This is such a simple card to do … much less overdone than some of my previous ones. I love the blues/greens together … all inspired by the DSP! I added some Brilliant Blue & Glorious Green to the Tempting Turquoise & Green Galore of the paper design. You can see this in the enlarged pic.

I noticed on one of the SU! forums last night that some demos have received their “Sneak Peek” Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. No such luck for me. Apparently we are getting 3 interim new “in-colours” to take us through to the new IB&C which will be released in September 2010. (Normally we get our new IB&C in April … but this delay is to bring us in line with the US!) So … the coming mini is expected to be a “jumbo” mini … with heaps of new product … including the release of the “Big Shot” Die cut machine!!!! Something we have been waiting for for a long time!!! So … perhaps mine will arrive today … and I can make a cuppa and enjoy the new offerings from SU! Can’t wait!!!

Off to take mum to an appointment … then tonight we have our first SU! team meeting for the year! It will be so nice to catch up with all the girls … although I am going to be cranky if some of them have the new mini catty … and I don’t! Fingers crossed … hopefully the postman will be kind to me today! Beautiful sunshine today! Seems along time since we have had that! Have a great day!
