Hi girls!
Woo hoo! Skye has her FINAL exam this morning … 1 1/2 hrs Studies of Religion (it is a 1 unit subject) … and she will be all finished by 11am!!! She already has a big smile on her face!
I am so proud of her diligence over the last few weeks … and especially after earning “guaranteed early entry” into uni … (meaning there wasn’t the same pressure to do well) … she was still determined to gain a good ATAR score and has been studying hard. I think we might go out for lunch today … after she has finished! Do you think that is a good idea??? I can’t believe that my 4th kid has finished school! Nanna is feeling a little old … AGAIN!!! Thank goodness I still have Sandy at school … I can pretend for a little longer!
This is one of the challenges that we had fun playing along with for the INKspirations 4U class. I thought this was a lovely colour combo … and this was my first card using the new Scallop Trim Border Punch. As much as I love the Scallop Border & Eyelet Border … it is lovely to have another one to play with. AND … this one has a coordinating corner punch to help create gorgeous frames! Fingers crossed we might be getting another sweet border punch in the next mini catty!
Oooooh! Is that a hint? Yes … I did get my sneak peek copy of the new mini in the mail this week. You should see my “wish list” already!!!
So … here is my card for this challenge …
I do so love those little mini tags … I have combined all the colours of the challenge into these tags. I haven’t had much of a chance to play with my Elegant Bouquet embossing folder … but I have so many ideas in my little brain for this gorgeous accent! Isn’t it pretty! My Christmas Stamp-a-Stack is all ready! (After 3 attempts in the design department!)
I think the girls will be thrilled. Well … I might have time for a little play this morning before I pick up Skye … then off to lunch … then hair appt. So … a little more relaxed today after a busy week. Thank you to all those who were enquiring about Gav’s mum & dad. They are both feeling much better! Hope you have a happy Friday! Stampin’ Hugs xxaxx

Congratulations to Skye (& to the whole family) for making it to the end of the exams – definately worth celebrating! Skye has to take the credit for years of study – not just a few weeks – but diligence will pay off!
Hugs xxaxx
Thanks for sharing – this card is gorgeous! I also love those mini tags – so cute!
Have a great weekend!
Love Gabbi
Andrea adds: Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement, Gabbi! It was nice to be able to remind Skye of all those who were praying for her … during her exams!
Congrats to Skye for working hard even though she already knew she got into her course – she’s a credit to you all! GO SKYE!

Andrea adds: Hiya Debbie! Yes! Go Skye! We had a lovely lunch out to celebrate! Thanks for always stopping by to encourage me! I really appreciate it! Hugs xxaxx
Now the air will be a little fresher and sweeter for Skye (and the rest of the family too). Lunch with Mum…a magical way to celebrate. Congrats and heartfelt congrats to you all.
But … as Schultz would say “I know nuffink … NUFFINK!” I will pass on congrats to Skye! Hugs xxaxx
The card is devine. You have done a beautiful job at balancing the colours so very well. Must have been hard keeping the actual stamping to that much of a minimum??? Now for a punt…… perhaps is it the pinking hearts punch coming soon??? I just want the square lattice emboss folder to be there…nothing huge…LOL!!! Fab card and thanks for sharing another snippet of your life. ooxx
Andrea adds: You may just get your heart’s desire!
MAJOR Smiles here….rank and proper!!! Sorry bout all the popping in. had some “me” time and space….and sadly…got the fidgets and went all over the joint. Great for ur hit count tho…LOL!! ooxx
I hope you found something useful … makes me feel like the time I spent putting all the info there is actually worthwhile! Hugs xxaxx
Andrea adds: Don’t apologise … I love to have you pop by!

)
Andrea adds: Hi Monika! I am glad that we have a few new greetings in some of the new sets to use with the punch, too! Thanks so much for taking the time to say hi! Hugs xxaxx
I really like the simplicity of this card! It just screams elegance!
Cheers

Andrea adds: Yes … the colours make this card … which I can’t take credit for … but it is an elegant combination. Hugs xxaxx
