Sorry I have been MIA for a couple of days. The weekend just seemed to disappear … I won’t bore you with all the details!
And … today I have been down in Nowra (1 hour drive) with Sandy for his zone swimming carnival. So … it has been difficult to get to my computer. I need to do some stamping … so I have something to show you!!!
But … before I squeeze some stamping time in before dinner … I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the lovely girls at “The Sweet Stop” … for the wonderful surprise that I discovered today! (Thank you to a couple of blog friends who let me know!) I won a gorgeous stamp set for my challenge card. This was a random draw … so I can’t take any credit … but it was exciting to win … just the same! This was my entry…
Sandy was very cooperative today … he got a couple of 3rds … a couple of 4ths … and managed to avoid the state carnival that he has attended every year for the past 5 years — much to the relief of his mother who was not keen to go to the state carnival next week! Yes … I am a little tired of doing the 3 hour return drive for a couple of races … that take a total of about 2 mins!!!
Am I a slack mum???
Well … I do have a little “catch up” to do now … but fingers crossed … I might find some time to stamp! There are so many fantabulous challenges happening this week … and I just don’t want to miss out on them all again!!!
Take care … c u soon! Hugs xxaxx

Congrats on your win sweetie – and random on not this is a fabulous choice as a winner!
See I’m back already – LOL
xXx
Andrea adds: LOL! Now I had better pop by your blog! Hugs xxaxx
Congratulations on winning the stamp set Andrea!

And no, you are not a slack mother at all. I once sat at Homebush swimming center for 7 hours, with my youngest son who was only around 6 months at the time, to watch my eldest son swim in one race at his regional carnival! And it had to be the last race of the day too! To say I was exhausted by the end is a huge understatement!! In fact, I’ll be at his zone carnival again next Tuesday. At least this time my youngest is off to Grandma’s for the day
Andrea adds: Thanks for the encouragement, Sandra! I must admit … after 20 years of schooling (since my oldest started) … there are some things that I am a little “over”!
I am standing and applauding your fantastic (if not by chance somwhat random) excellent winning. I have just popped over to The Sweet Shop site and it looks like a lot of fun. The cards are devine. I am so v v happy for you darl.
But … his best friend (who usually goes to state with him) also didn’t get there … so Sandy was quite content!
He did well … and had a happy day! The two mums … on the other hand … sat in the rain / humidity … did timekeeping for nearly 2 hours … but … had a nice time chatting, too! Hugs xxaxx
Pleas pass on my congrats to Sandy. I wld never suggest that ur a bad mother for not wanting to do that drive…but there is always next year….now that he has had a taste int he “big pond”. Take care of you and big hugs. ooxx
Andrea adds: Oh … I think he is probably past the “state” level now. High school is a different “pool” … the big boys that actually compete are mostly those who train regularly. Sandy has been relying on natural talent up to this point. I don’t think it will carry him past zone again now!
Yay for winning – random or not! New rubber is always good!
Well done Sandy for getting sooooo close, yet far enough away that mum doesn’t have to spend hours driving you around the country side. Nope you are not a slack mum at all! I think we all get to the point when we wonder if it’s worth it!
Well done my non-SU friend! Hope you find so much more time to spend on yourself.
Cheers
Sonia
Andrea adds: Without SU! … I am looking after myself better. Made two batches of soups … as a healthy meal alternative (when the family is having “junk”!) And … keeping a food diary … and getting to gym regularly. It definitely has made a difference (along with getting rid of the newsletter prep). So … it has been great. Thanks for the cheering! Hugs xxaxx
Congratulations on your “win”.

Your work is so beautiful, I’m glad you have received credit for all your hard effort!
Thanks for sharing!

Andrea adds: It was a “random choice” win … but exciting just the same!
