Hi again!
Well … a bonus post today! (Scroll down to see my “Love Defined” card!) As is my usual habit … I finish a challenge only to find that it is about to close! Actually … there are plenty of times that I finish AFTER the challenge is closed!!!
So … to get this submitted on time … you all get a bonus post today!
Just Add Ink had a very tricky challenge this week. It is a “Just Add Stamps” challenge! And … the JAI blog goes on to say “That means no DSP, no ribbon, no buttons, no die-cuts, no punches … a lot of no no’s actually. We hope you get the picture!!” Now that is a challenge! Here is what I put together! I’m not sure if it is a little overdone???
So I did some sponging … some tearing … some hand cutting … and some twirling! I think all those elements are allowed! I hope so anyway! Isn’t it a Cool Colour combo??? This was the Colour Challenge from The Play Date Cafe. I haven’t played along before … so it was nice to try this pretty combination. I almost added a little green (leaves & springs) to this … but the swatch at the bottom didn’t have the green … so I went without it!
Well … better go clean up my mess … and I am starting to “wilt” a little … might have a little “nanna nap”!? After all … I have to practise for when Stacey has the baby!
Hugs xxaxx
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You are on a roll – this card is so cool!

Actually … I have our small group bible study here tonight … so can’t go to bed after dinner!!! (Like I did last night!
)
How would the springy-things go into an envelope, or is this a “personally delivered” card only?
You must have been patient doing all that cutting – I agree that it is time for a nanna-nap (that way you won’t have to go to bed straight after dinner tonight!!)
Thanks for sharing.

Lordy Lass…Mojo back big time on this one!!! I have seen a couple of the JAI cards for this challenge with lots of collage packgrounds etc, but you have gone o’side the box brilliantly. Again….can’t go wrong with VV. The wee curls are devine and reflect the feel of the picture so well. This card is so cool…..it’s HOT!!!!
Thanks for the enthusiasm … I wasn’t sure how topretty this up without punches/embellishments etc … but somewhere the idea of the curls popped into my little brain. Seems to have worked well. Hugs xxaxx
Take care of you and rest inbetween all the activity. ooxx
Andrea adds: I love all the funny phrases that come out of your mouth … or from your fingers! I wish I had the quick wit and easy way of chatting that you do! You always make me smile! I knew you would like the Vintage Vogue!
Awesome colors! That whole cluster of flowers is so eye catching and I love the curly strips!
Andrea adds: Thanks Denise! You are such a hunny to be popping by to encourage me so frequently. Hugs xxaxx
OMG!!! Andrea you are such a legend for doing this challenge. I take my hat off to anyone who could cause it just played too many games with my head! lol
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the curly whirly bits on your card – how clever to add that to give the card that special bit of somethin’!!
Luv Karen
LOL …
I am just kidding … I know that you all know that! The girls that won … had some beautifully inspired cards. Make sure you pop over and see them! Gorjuss!

Andrea adds: Everyone loved the curly whirly bits! But … obviously not enough to win the challenge!!! (giggle)
It is sooo pretty Andrea and I really love the colours!
Andrea adds: Ooooh! Amy!!!!!!!!! So nice to see you! I was only thinking about you the other day … I still have your blog listed for “following” … and noticed it on my list a couple of weeks ago! I popped by … and nothing happening … BUT … I just popped by again … and YOU ARE BACK!!! Yippee!!! Woo hoo! Thanks for leaving a comment here … so I would be prompted to check again! So nice to have you pop by … I feel excited. Off to visit your blog properly now! Hugs xxaxx
You are just too clever! I would have thought to make a one layer card…. but not you…. you manage to ‘work’ your stamps and card to the bone!
Love it!
Cheers
Sonia
Andrea adds: Yes … just a tad more brainpower went into this one … it was a tricky challenge! Hugs xxaxx
Lovely card Andrea. Pretty colors and my favorite flowers!
) That is one tough challenge, but you mastered it perfectly! Please do put the twine on your desk! Need to start using them.
) SU! is coming out with 2 colors, did you see that?
We are a little behind SU! when it comes to new stuff! We don’t even have the seam binding yet … and I would just LOVE to have some of that!!! We are supposed to be more “in line” with US since they changed the date of our catty from Apr to Sept (we had to wait 18 mths last year for a new catty) … BUT … we still seem to miss out on plenty!
Thanks for the heads up … tho!
Hugs xxaxx
Andrea adds: Oh! yes … must do that RIGHT NOW! … yep … done!!!!
Wow, a fantastic card, and those curly bits are fabulous, I love them to bits
thanks Melissa! Hugs xxaxx
Andrea adds: The curly bits are so easy … and obviously a “hit”!
Beautiful Andrea! The colours are gorgeous & all that fussy cutting, layering & twirling is divine. Love it!
Andrea adds: It was a tricky challenge this one! Thanks, Helen! Hugs xxaxxx
