Hello bloggies!
I am just doing a quick post today. I wasn’t going to worry … cos Stacey is coming over with baby Bree this afternoon. … BUT … this card was for a challenge that closes in 4 hours! I am glad I checked … because otherwise I would have missed the deadline! (I am sooooo good at missing deadlines!) This is my first attempt at a Paper Players Challenge. I must have been directed to the PPC blog by one of my blog buddies … but I can’t think who that was now! (And I don’t have time to blog hop to check!) 
Anyway … enough blethering … this card was for a sketch challenge. Click sketch pic to visit challenge site. Here is my card …
You can see I flipped the sketch on it’s side … and just tweaked the position of the phrase. I wanted something “young” and funky for this birthday card … and … I wanted to use my BRAND NEW Create a Cupcake stamp set & Build a Cupcake punch! (Both freebies … due to final sales at SU!) 
I added a little Frost White Shimmer Paint to the frosting on the cake. It looks really pretty IRL … but photos don’t pick it up too well. Hey … check out this super special card that I received in the mail from my blog buddy, Sonia! Isn’t it just stunning. I love that patchwork design … and the embossing folder adds a beautiful depth to the card. The inside of the card is just as pretty! I just loooove happy mail! Thanks so much, Sonia! And … just one last thing … I am doing another happy dance. I got chosen for the Stampers Showcase over at Stamping 411 for my “So Happy for You” card! Aren’t I just one lucky girl! I can’t believe that I got two awards from two challenges! That stamping therapy sure was good value!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you to all the wonderful “operators” over at S411!

Adorable! The ribbon treatment is so unique and creative. The pearls are the perfect touch! I am glad that you were able to play with the Paper Players for the first time this week!

Andrea adds: Very quiet here. Boys & Skye at soccer … Ree doing uni work upstairs … Baby Bree is asleep in the TV room … and mum Stacey is also asleep in the front lounge. Very satisfying result for Nandy who was playing g’ma / mum!
I am getting good at picking the speccy cards you do huh?? hee hee hee. Well done (again) on this recognition too. They say it comes in 3′s….so wait and see huh???
… but I’m sure she will get the sentiment!

This is a FAB wee girly card. I am yet to bust out my tulips yet (so darn time poor of late it’s irking me!!) And who’d of thought…you and pink??

Andrea adds: I have one complaint about the embossing folders … they are sized for US cardstock! It is a little frustrating at times that they are not quite long enough! But … I guess we adapt! I found a great tutorial for making the tulip frames smaller … check my “product help” page! And … you got me … I do so love pink! But … believe it or not … it is NOT my fav colour! Sonia will appreciate being called a sausage

I love the bright colours that you have used here. I agree that it can be a tad bit frustrating that the embossing folders are made for US sizes. There is a video at ESAD, if you are still allowed in
that shows how to make it different sizes. I realise that you have limited downloads so this may not work for you.
Congrats on making the showcase for 411. You are truly deserving.

Super dooper cute Andrea! The colours look fantastic & I love the pearl sprinkles & the twine bows on the ribbon.
In fact … running 3 cars … and feeing 4 (+3) kids each night and upkeep on a farm that brings no income is beginning to take it’s toll on our savings! I need to be more careful at the moment. 
Now … that’s not much fun! 
But I am thankful for all the lovely craft products that I do have. Contentment is a good thing to learn! Hugs xxaxx
