Hello bloggies!
Well … the big move is on … Stacey & Jono got the keys yesterday and we spent until 9pm last night packing and moving as much as possible. Murray (Ree’s boyfriend) managed to borrow a trailer … so with his big ute … and another trailer … the boys managed to get most of the ‘big stuff’ done after work yesterday. Stace & I packed most of the day … with Ree helping after uni. But … we still have a lot to do today … finishing off the last minute packing … and getting it all over to the new unit. Then of course … we start unpacking!!! On Mon/Tue Stace & I will go back to the old unit and give it a good clean. So … the next few days are going to be busy busy busy!!!
This card is the very last from our CC in May. This was Erin’s sweet make & take design … and we enjoyed using a colour combo that none of us had done before. Black/ Rich Razzleberry / Melon Mambo + white & a touch of Pear Pizzazz. I was quite taken with this combo … and must remember to try it again sometime soon. I like the way Erin cut the front short and popped the butterflies onto the back section of the card. Please excuse the pathetic colouring in. I think we were making this one at about 1am … and my eyes had stopped working!!!
I should go back and touch up the colouring before I give this one to anyone!!!
It is my mum’s birthday today. Poor mum is still in hospital … fighting a nasty infection … and not doing so well. I hope some balloons, cake & cappuccino will help brighten her morning! So … I really had better get going … I have lots to do today! (and tomorrow … and the next day … and again next week! — Did we really just have a holiday??? Seems a distant memory.)
Skye is back at uni … and although coping well without her crutches … she is still struggling with some pain. Please pray that she will be able to manage her “prac” placement well enough to continue this subject this semester. It will totally muck up her degree is she isn’t able to complete it.
See you all as soon as I can! Obviously no time for stamping at the moment … but I will be back with something for you asap! Hugs xxaxx

Another busy day today…
I do hope you have a fabulous time with your mum on her birthday – her infection sounds so painful!!!
I love the card that you have shown us today – those butterflies down the side are a pretty cool idea!!
I do hope Skye’s leg will return to full mobility without pain. It must be such a worry to try and get through the PE course at Uni with limitations & the risk of delayed healing.
All the best with moving Stacey over the next few days – moving is very traumatic and tiring … let me know if you would like a few hours help with cleaning, or dropping off a meal, or moving (my dad has a trailer too if you would like to borrow it for a few hours or a day…) or something else – just give me a buzz – many hands make light(er!) work.
Congrats to Sandy on all his achievements at zone – and all the best at state (my nices were pleased to avoid the state carnival – until Jess made it through for the 4x100m relay – it is alot of effort to go to state to run 100m!!)
Hope you have time to enjoy the sunshine today & thanks for sharing…
♥ Gabbi ♥
Andrea adds: You just reminded me of the year that I drove all the way to Homebush for a 16 second race! Yes … one year … Sandy only got there for the 100m … and I spent 3 hours driving for 16 secs of glory!! The things us mums are willing to do for our kids! Thankfully … most years he has been for more than 1 event! He is thrilled to get there! Thanks so much for all your wonderfully kind offers. We did get everything moved to the new place today (and last night) … and now it is just a matter of unpacking. Stace & I will go back on Monday and do the cleaning … and then they hand the keys back on Wednesday. So … yes … it is a busy time! But … light at the end of the tunnel … now. Mum was so bright when I saw her today … and feeling a lot better. I am soooo hoping she has turned a corner! Wasn’t the sunshine just beautiful!!! Hugs xxaxx
Oh Andrea, you have been such a busy little bee since I last commented on your blog… Unfortunately due to time issues I haven’t been able to comment on all your awesome creations, but believe me I really want to, will have to try and look more often.
The card above is such a sweet card and I have to remember to not just cut a rectangular card but (like you have done) make it short or remove a corner just to add some interest.
Thanks for all the inspiration, hope although your mum was in hospital she felt special on her birthday.
Cheers Katie
I always used to tell Shane … when he came last in all the races at the athletics carnival … imagine how wonderful you have made the 2nd last place getter feel … because he didn’t come last! What a super effort!
So … thanks for making me feel better!!! Mum was really bright and happy today … I think it helped to make a fuss. I took some helium balloons and a yummy “choc chip butter cake” from Michels … and my sis took up her pressie tonight … a brand new iPad!!! (Mum is helping us pay for it!) She doesn’t have a computer … and now that Dad has gone … we are keen for her to discover all the exciting world of the internet! She will even be able to visit my blog!!!
Yay! So … all in all … a good day for her! Thanks for popping by! Hugs xxaxx
Andrea adds: Hi Katie! At least you have made me feel better about not doing much blurfing myself, lately!!!
Happy Birthday to Mum! I am sure you will brighten her day. What a pretty card Andrea. Love the color combo and those lovely butterlies.

Andrea adds: Hi Monika! I did have a nice time with mum … and she was feeling a little brighter! Hugs xxaxx
Finally here….my lappy did not like ur blog y’day at all!!! (U’ll be happy to know that it is all resolved and I channelled the power of re-boot and all was fixed!!) This card has POW. I think ‘srtiking’ is def the right description. That and the fact that it has b’flies….LOL!!! I can see a lot of this type of card popping up around the place cause of ur inspiration!!
Thinking of ur Mum and Skye esp. Biologically speaking…you are all made of the same stuff…so if they share your strength, faith and resolve, they will make it thru anything thrown at them….just as you have done!!
I had to have a giggle at ur reply to Katie. Indeed some of us are built for comfort…not speed!!! I have to have a gratuitous parental boast tho….Dylan came hm with 5 ribbons fm his athletic carnival (2 x 2nd and 3 x 3rds) and is now off to zone for 100 and 800m!!! Will post on blog soon.
Take care of you. ooxx MWAH
Andrea adds: Giggle … you make me sound like superwoman … but truly … I do have my moments of feeling very overwhelmed! Thanks so much for your call yesterday … it was such a treat to have a quick chat … and I appreciate you taking the time during your busy day to say hi … and it is lovely to know that you have been thinking of me … and of mum! You are soooo kind, Lynda! Woo hoo for Dylan! Yayayaya! And … I … like Shane … am built for comfort not speed!!!
Sending your mum speedy recovery wishes, and a big happy birthday to her, I think she will love her balloons and stuff oh and the cappucino too. Try and take a few minutes here and there for yourself too Andrea, Life sure does get busy doesn’t it lol. Hugs Melx
Andrea adds: thanks Mel! I am a little behind with blog hopping … but did catch up with a few on Saturday morning. Hopefully over the next day or so … I will be able to do some more! Hugs xxaxx
I just realised that it must have been weeks since I commented on your blog. Where has my life gone?
Anyway’s this is striking! I love black as it certainly makes certain colours appear BOLDER! Love this little butterfly, it so realistic.
Cheers
Sonia
Andrea adds: You have obviously been busy being a good mum & dad while Corey has been away! Don’t beat yourself up! Life gets like that!!! Don’t I know it! Hugs xxaxx
