Don’t miss my demonstrator information evening details … see yesterday’s post!

Hi … I hope you are all having some “play time” this weekend … Here is some inspiration! I have discovered that embossing is MUCH EASIER than it appears! Sometimes, trying something new can be a bit daunting … BUT … embossing is very simple! And … it adds some glamour, elegance & sophistication to a card! Why not have a go!

Let’s start with something REALLY EASY! Ok??? 🙂

SAMPLE 1 (This was CASED from another website … but I can’t remember where! – I am happy to acknowledge the original designer if should they see this and recognise it!)
Papers: Whisper White & Basic Black cardstock
Inks used: Versamark
Stamp Sets: God’s Blessings & Beautiful Life
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Silver Cord
Always start with your EMBOSSING BUDDY! This works so well in making sure you only get your embossing powder where you want it! Wipe your buddy over your black strip of card and stamp the daffodil image with versamark ink. Sprinkle silver embossing powder over the image and gently tap off the excess powder. Your image will look dry & grainy. Heat with your heat tool until powder turns molten & silvery. That’s it! So simple!
Use the same technique for your white card. Use Embossing Buddy … then … stamp your God’s Blessings verse stamp with versamark on your white card & then random stamp daffodil heads around for the background (also with versamark). Sprinkle silver embossing powder over card … tap off excess … heat & set embossing powder! Assemble your card. When you look at this card you can see that it is a really simple card to put together … but it looks really elegant! And … only takes a few minutes to create! REALLY & TRULY!

Oh So Lovely Gold Emboss

Papers: Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Gold Metallic, Vellum Cardstock

Inks Used: Versamark

Stamp Sets: Oh So Lovely (hostess), Warm Words, Priceless

Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Mini Glue Dots

Here is another gorgeous but simple & elegant card which is done with exactly the same technique as the first except the flowers are stamped onto some vellum card stock, and I have used gold embossing powder. I have used mini glue dots to attach the vellum card in the corners.

For a Friend Silver Emboss

Papers: Orchid Opulence, Handsome Hunter, Silver metallic cardstock

Inks Used: Versamark & Encore Silver Ink

Stamp Sets: For A Friend (hostess), Boho Backgrounds, Priceless

Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Silver Cord

My third sample is one that has a little more detail but still very easy. On the silver metallic background I have embossed the gorgeous little flower background stamp from Boho Backgrounds. The “Wishing You Love” phrase from the “For a Friend” hostess set is also embossed with silver embossing powder. The two hearts (Priceless stamp set) are stamped with Encore Silver Ink. You might have also noticed that I have “wiped” some silver ink around the edges of the orchid card just to give it a silvery edge & a little more glamour! Don’t you just love these colours! Don’t forget to click on photo if you would like to see better detail.

So … why not have a go at this VERY EASY technique? I love how elegant a card looks with a bit of embossing! Until next time … Stampin’ Hugs, Andrea
