Don’t miss my demonstrator information evening details … see yesterday’s post!
Hi … I hope you are all having some “play time” this weekend … Here is some inspiration! I have discovered that embossing is MUCH EASIER than it appears! Sometimes, trying something new can be a bit daunting … BUT … embossing is very simple! And … it adds some glamour, elegance & sophistication to a card! Why not have a go!
Let’s start with something REALLY EASY! Ok??? 🙂
SAMPLE 2
Papers: Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Gold Metallic, Vellum Cardstock
Inks Used: Versamark
Stamp Sets: Oh So Lovely (hostess), Warm Words, Priceless
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Mini Glue Dots
Here is another gorgeous but simple & elegant card which is done with exactly the same technique as the first except the flowers are stamped onto some vellum card stock, and I have used gold embossing powder. I have used mini glue dots to attach the vellum card in the corners.
SAMPLE 3
Papers: Orchid Opulence, Handsome Hunter, Silver metallic cardstock
Inks Used: Versamark & Encore Silver Ink
Stamp Sets: For A Friend (hostess), Boho Backgrounds, Priceless
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Silver Cord
My third sample is one that has a little more detail but still very easy. On the silver metallic background I have embossed the gorgeous little flower background stamp from Boho Backgrounds. The “Wishing You Love” phrase from the “For a Friend” hostess set is also embossed with silver embossing powder. The two hearts (Priceless stamp set) are stamped with Encore Silver Ink. You might have also noticed that I have “wiped” some silver ink around the edges of the orchid card just to give it a silvery edge & a little more glamour! Don’t you just love these colours!
