August Class Projects

Hi guys! I have had a couple of requests for a look at the Fathers’ Day Card we made at our EnchantINK class last Friday night. So … here it is …

I have to give total credit to Leonie (one of my uplines) for the idea that I found on her blog … But I know that Leonie actually got the idea from A VIDEO TUTORIAL on a blog owned by Danni … And … Danni got the idea from another blog by Lori! So … you can see … this is definitely not an “Andrea Original”! And I would like to thank all three girls for their inspiration! If you go to the link on Danni’s blog … you will find a great video tutorial on how to make this great idea for Father’s Day.

Cardstock: Close to Cocoa & Chocolate Chip (frame for “happy fathers day”) Very Vanilla for credit card insert & faux coin!

Inks: Chocolate Chip        Stamp Sets: Occasional Greetings & Circle of Friendship

Techniques: All card pieces were colour spritzed with choc chip marker ink & the edges were sponged with choc chip ink using sponge daubers. Faux stitching around the edge of the wallet – use the paper piercer & mat pack to pierce tiny holes around edge of wallet & then “join the dots” with a choc chip fine tip marker.

Friday night was EXTREMELY productive! We also made the gorgeous little popsicle card! And … I have found another FANTASTIC video tutorial on a web site for this great card. (I mentioned it in a previous post.) The tutorial is on Angie Kennedy Juda’s “chicknscratch” web site.

Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White

Inks: Wild Wasabi & Pumpkin Pie stamp pads; Read Red, Garden Green & Choc Chip Markers

Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Ribbon, Popsicle Stick, Crystal Effects (Choc tip on strawberry), Dazzling Diamond, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer

Stamp Sets: Tart & Tangy, Warm Words, One of a Kind or any phrase stamp

We also created a lovely Diagonal Double Pocket Card using a sheet of Designer Series Papers. Inside the pockets we made a note card to write on & a bookmark for a gift! This is such a nice card to create for someone special! And … so quick & easy. If you would like to see a tutorial for how to fold the paper to create the pockets … there is a great one written by Claudia Rosa.

Butterfly sample:

Inks, Cardstock & Papers: Summer Picnic DSP, Purely Pomegranate, Bashful Blue, Old Olive

Accessories: Silver Brads, 1/2″ circle punch, Dazzling Diamonds

Stamp Set: Garden Whimsy

And here is another sample!

Flower sample:

Colours used: Choc Chip, Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue, So Saffron & Spring Showers DSP. (This designer series paper is not in this year’s IB&C … but this was a mistake with the Catty. It is still available – along with Spring Flowers)

Stamp Sets: Scribble This, Warm Words

Accessories: Rhinestone Brads, Hodgepodge hardware frame & brads

I hope you have fun recreating these beautiful projects! I know we had heaps of laughs & creativity happening at my class on Friday night. Keep watching for a sneak peek of next month’s project!

Stampin’ Hugs
