Birthday Photo Layout

Hi everyone … I am busy busy busy getting organised for stamp club tonight! (How exciting!) But … thought I would drop by for a quick chat! I have had this photo layout sitting in my pics for a while … and thought you might like to see how gorgeous my little Sheree is! (Of course, this was a FEW years ago, now! – She is now 18!!!) Sheree is the cute little blonde and the brunette is her cousin Jade!

This layout was done with one of last year’s FREE bonus Sale-A-Bration Stamp sets! (Birthday Whimsy! – How well does this set go with the current “Garden Whimsy!”

The balloons on this page have been stamped with “invisible” Versamark ink & then using a sponge dauber I have “bounced” some Stampin’ Pastels onto the image. The versamark “grabs” the chalk to create the coloured image! This technique is such a quick & easy & lovely one and is called “Poppin’ Pastels”!

The letters have been stamped with Versamark then straight onto the Stamp Pad to pick up the colour and then stamped onto the card. Sprinkle some Heat & Stick powder onto the image while the Versamark is still sticky & heat it with the heat tool until it “melts”. Sprinkle some Dazzling Diamonds on top while the Heat & Stick powder is still wet. This gives a thicker diamonds effect which doesn’t rub off. (If you add dazzling diamonds with 2-way glue it can eventually rub off … but embossing it will make it permanent which is much more ideal for photo pages!) Even though embossing sounds a bit fiddly … I actually find it really quick to do! No fuss really at all!

Colours used: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink & Cool Caribbean (last year’s in colour)
