Eastern Blooms Birthday

Hello … I had to sit down and create a birthday card for a favourite Aunt of my hubby’s last week … and couldn’t resist my BRAND NEW stamp set called Eastern Blooms. Sometimes it is the colours that actually make a card work. I started making this card with the Choc Chip & Almost Amethyst & tried adding some Rose Red & So Saffron … but just didn’t feel happy with the colour combination. So … I substituted the Red & Saffron for Certainly Celery & suddenly it seemed to work! I was really happy with the end result. And … just a final touch … I added some Celery Chunky Sprinkles to the centres of the flowers. Just so pretty! I have also used my NEW Scallop Edge Punch again! Oh no! I think I am addicted already!!! 😀

This is the first time I have used this stamp set … but already I can see how versatile it is going to be! All these products will be available soon with the new Summer Mini Catalogue which starts on Dec1.
