Skye’s Yr 10 Grad

Hi … just a quick post from a proud mum … and then I will be back later with something creative!!! 🙂

Morning Assembly
Morning Assembly

Yesterday was Skye’s Yr 10 grad! It is times like this that really make you stop & realise how quickly time is passing! We were very proud of her achievements … she received several “Excellence” Awards & all but one “A” on her report. But … as parents … it is the wonderful comments from each of the teachers about her commitment, faith, generosity, humility etc that are the most important! She also received a Leadership award (only 1 given for the year) … which was a huge surprise and she was so thrilled! (I understand that this was a teacher vote). She was sooo surprised!

But … no one can take away the award for the best bargain dress for the night!!! $25!!! And … it looked a million bucks!!!

(She is often heard saying “I can’t wait to get married & have kids”!!!) She was so happy to be able to sing at both the morning assembly (leading the school singing) & at the evening ceremony – performing a beautiful “farewell” song with her friend Jacqui (pianist) & teacher Mrs Cook for those who were leaving school this year.

Here are a few snaps of Skye & friends …

I think she was having a great time! Well … that is 4 down (yr 10 graduations) & only 1 to go!!! Still have a little while to wait for Sandy’s Yr 10. And … somehow the boys are not quite as exciting as the girls!!! So … I will enjoy this one for a few more moments! Ok???
