Featured Blog – “The Paper Landscaper” – Denise Marzec

While my computer is out of action … and I don’t have access to any of my photos … I have been taking my blog friends on a tour of some of my favourite blogs! Here is another stunning blog I have to show you … Denise has an adorable style … and uses lots of papers & cute cute images! Enjoy …

Isn’t this just the cutest most adorable card! Look at that gorgeous ribbon rose – and Denise has a link to a tutorial to make these. I am so going to check that one out!!! I love this Sarah Kay stamp image! And … how funny … I just ordered it a couple of days ago from a US website! Can’t wait to try this one out!!! And … isn’t the background paper on this card just soooo pretty!

I love that Denise photographed this card outside … doesn’t it just make you want to get away to a tropical island. The colours on this card are River Rock, Basic Black … and of course, White! What a great combination! Love the whole design … and all the little touches!

Isn’t this pretty! Not SU! colours … buttercream, suede brown, and a pretty blue & green paper. HHHmmm I am going to try and match this with SU! colours. But somehow I don’t think it will come close to this darling card. Don’t you love the way Denise has used some gold cord as a stem for her flowers. Denise always takes time to decorate the inside of her cards … so make sure you check out her blog to see how she does this!

I wanted to show you this card for two reasons …  1. Have a good look at the layout! It is really quite a simple layout … but what I think is just so perfect about this card and what turns a simple layout into an absolutely stunning card is Denise’s use of colour. I think the way she has combined the colours is just gorgeous!  2. Denise has used one of my favourite stamp designs – “Whiff of Joy- Willow with Flower Basket”. Must go and get my Whiff of Joy stamps out and have a play!
