Flight of the Butterfly

Flight of the Butterfly dbl

Hi! How’s your day going?

I have half finished a post for my Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge … but just haven’t the time to finish it this morning. Stace & I are off to school (again!!!!) to hear Skye perform in the school talent quest … so have to fly. So … I thought I would share this post that was “stored” for just a time like this!!! The boys left for the snow this morning (Gav, Shane & Jono – Stace’s husband) … and Stacey is staying for the three days that they are away … so it will be nice to share some “quality time” together. I will try and get back later with my Bizzy Becs post … or … maybe it will have to wait until tomorrow???  Have a lovely day!!!

Have you seen the “Flight of the Butterfly” stamp set in the latest IB&C??? I resisted and resisted … but in the end it proved just too hard! I am really getting back to the “two step stamping” technique. This is such a great technique for EASY stamping! Absolutely ANYONE can do it!!! 😀

So … here are a couple of cards I made recently using this sensational set!!!

Flight of the Butterfly 1

This first one was a CASE from SCS (again) – I have been on such a roll – this is a great source for ideas – especially when you are in a hurry! I traced this card back to it’s original owner ->The Queen’s Scene. I was really drawn to this card because of the colour combination. I think it is just stunning! Thanks for sharing, Lynn!

Card Recipe:

  • Flight of the Butterfly 1zStamp Sets: Flight of the Butterfly
  • Inks: Orchid Opulence, Elegant Eggplant

    • Whisper White – 7.5 x 11.6cm + scraps for butterflies

  • Accents: Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon
  • My second card … was also a sketch challenge from SCS and I loved this design created by Jodi -> Stamp with Jodie. Note to self: USE THIS LAYOUT AGAIN!!!

    Flight of the Butterfly 2

It is really just some simple stamping and lots of layering of card/papers. So simple!!! But … even easier for you … when I give you all the measurements!!!

    Hi Andrea,
Again I have finally had a chance to look at your blog this week and there is so much to see!! Thanks! I did mean to show you the cards that I had been making lately when you were here on Saturday night but forgot. I will have to show you the photos I have taken some time. I keep the photos to maybe use layouts again one day but always come up with new stuff on the internet to “steal” so I guess I really don’t need to keep them but it is nice to look back at what you’ve made – specially when you use cards for what they are meant to be used for – giving away! Looking forward to Saturday!
Andrea adds: LOL … yes … you DO have to give them away, sis!!! That IS what they are for!!! Am looking forward to the card buffet too!!! Lotsa fun!!! xxx PS I have your order ready! xx
