Colour Throwdown #56

Hi again!

A bonus post … I was just finishing drafting this one … when I realised that the deadline was up!!! But … the links are still open … so I thought I would quickly post this … and submit my entry!

I was checking out some of the latest challenges recently and found this one at Colour Throwdown … (click on the challenge pic to see some awesome designs at the Colour Throwdown site)

Now … I almost moved on thinking “NOPE … we don’t have those US in-colours … can’t do that one” … when I realised that I could probably substitute some of our current colours reasonably successfully … WHAT DO YOU THINK???…

So … I have actually used Tangerine Tango / Baja Breeze / Close to Cocoa … and I think that although they are not completely the same … it is a pretty close substitution! It is an interesting combination for a Chrissy Card … but I was keen to use my brand new “Snow Swirled” set … and I actually thinks this works quite well for Chrissy! Oooh … and I discovered that the snowflake that I used as a star on the top of the tree fits into the largest flower on the “Boho Blossoms” punch. Isn’t it great when you find something out like that 😀 … I would much rather punch than cut!!! So much easier!!! You might want to enlarge this pic (click on it) … to see some of the detail better … IE: versamark snowflake images on the background … and tangerine images with supernova glitter highlights on the tangerine strip. And … how gorgeous is that satin “Ribbon Originals” Baja Breeze ribbon. So luxurious!!! 😉 (All the card details are listed at the end of this post!)
