49th Anniversary Card

Hi everyone

I am sure …  like me … there are times that you suddenly realise that you need to get a card in the mail … or it won’t arrive on time! So … moments like these call for something gorgeous … but something REALLY QUICK to make!!! 😀 I had to create a quick card recently for my in-law’s 49th wedding anniversary … and this is what I came up with …

Happy Anniversary

So … I have to be honest and say that I immediately went to my friend Silke’s blog for inspiration. Silke has some of the most simple designs … but they are always so classy and elegant. Perfect for a quick anniversary design!  If you would like to see the card that I CASED for this design … here it is -> My Life. So … obviously I have used a completely different colour combination … and image … but the layout is based on Silke’s card. And … I haven’t used vanilla as a base for a while … and I was really taken with the finished card! You can see that I have stamped two flowers on scrap card & layered these on top of two of the main image flowers to give a 3-D effect. A little bling … some Dazzling Diamonds … just on these two flowers for highlights!

So … our lesson for today …

Happy Anniversary zA beautiful card doesn’t need to be too busy or fussy. Sometimes simple and elegant are just perfect!

Hope you can take some inspiration from this idea … just like I did from Silke … and try something simple and elegant today! Have a happy stamping weekend. I hope to be back tomorrow with something … but seeing soccer season is finally finished … we might find something else to do tomorrow!!! 😀

I love the elegant simplicity of this card Andrea. I hope ur MIL loved it. I call them KISS cards (keep it simple silly) or SCS calls tham CAS cards (clean and simple), but either way, I love them and this is a magnificent example of it!! Well done.
Andrea adds: I must remember that term … KISS … what a great anagram! 😀
