Trendy Trees Brayering

Hi again!

I did promise you some stamping … didn’t I! 😉

Trendy Trees brayer zEvery time I use this set I am really pleased with the result. It is such a cute (& inexpensive) set … and I often look at it and don’t know what to do with it … but when I take the plunge … I am always glad I did!!! This is called “Trendy Trees” and is one of the sets we got from Convention. This card was one we worked on together at the “2 Leonie’s” day. (After most of the girls had gone home … Pepperpot, Onie, Erin & I worked this one out together!!) I think it may be another CASE from Michelle Zindorf. The other card we did with Leonie we brayered first … then stamped on top … BUT … this one is done in reverse. We did the stamping & embossed the images and then added the back ground colour with our brayers and sponges. All the details – step by step – are listed on my card recipe at the end of this post!  So … here is the card …

Trendy Trees Brayer Gatefold

From memory (I am just a little too tired to check at the moment) … this card layout is a design I got from a SCS tutorial. I think it is called a gatefold card??? (Oh darn … that’s just not like me … I am now going to HAVE to take a couple of mins to check that out for you all!!!) ……………………..

Trendy Trees Gatefold

Yep!!! I was right … it is called a “Gatefold Card” … and here is a link to the tutorial -> SCS Gatefold. And … here is another view …

Trendy Trees Gatefold 2

This is a really nice design for a card … and I am sure I will use this sketch again! I am feeling a little more confident with my brayering now … so I will probably try a few more of Michelle’s sometime! I have already done another (of my very own design) for a challenge on Onie’s team NING … so will show you that one soon! Until then … happy stamping!!!

Have not tried this type (fold) of card yet. I love the feel of this card tho….kinda like a misty feel like a fog. It has a great masculine vibe (abley aided by the colours). It’s awesome. I can just imagine the giggles and fun that was had whilst this was being constructed!! 😉 ooxx
Andrea adds: Yes … lotsa giggles and fun! Lone insisted this was another “quick” card … and then kept getting distracted!!! So … it ended up taking twice as long as it should have to make!!! LOL 😀
