A bit over pink?????

Hello everyone!

Sorry … I have been a little slow getting here over the last few days! I don’t really know why it has been so hard … life doesn’t seem particularly busy … but I guess just doing the day to day stuff can sometimes be very time consuming!!! Anyway … HERE I AM!!! 😀

I had a quick scan back over my last few posts and realised that I have probably overdone the pink lately!!!??? Pink is such a good colour for card making … and I do have a couple more to share … but I went searching for something NON PINK to show you today. I can hear Lynda giving a HUGE sigh of relief!!! 🙄  Here is a card I made recently for some dear friends …

A little different to my usual style … and I can thank Dawn McVey for the inspiration. The “quilted” DSP was CASED from a card she created and shared on SCS. The colour combination was one I got from Sarah Gough … and just had an urge to try it! So … thanks girls for helping with this card! 😀

I do wish I had done the stitching on this card a little smaller … but I am pleased with how the card turned out. The DSP squares are 2 x 2 cm and I used my paper piercer and mat pack to measure out and create the stitching holes. And … being a special sympathy card … I also created a matching envelope and insert for the card.

I have some photos to share from our team stamping day on Friday … I will try and get back later to add  those … but do need to get started on the newsletter! Have a nice day!

Ohhhh this is gorgeous, and you rocked the combo chicky!!! I’m dying over those little silver gems, I wish I had somewhere to pick those babies up!
Andrea adds: Yes … they are my absolute FAV embellishments … I am a bit possessive of them … because Silke sent them to me … and when they are gone … they are gone!!! I don’t have access to them either. So … I am a bit “ikey” about using them! 😀
