For some reason I had in my head that the Just Add Ink Challenge finished on Fridays!!!??? 😯 But … silly me! I missed the deadline!!! 🙄 I even had this card finished well and truly in time … but just had to get Keesh’s challenge posted first (or so I thought!!!) Anyway … never mind … here it is for my blog groupies to see … even if no one else does!!! 😀 🙂

So … this is a sketch challenge from JAI … and was a very Q&E sketch … and I loved working with this one! I have gone for a monochrome tone and used my new Cottage Garden stamp set! It was nice to try this set with a colour theme other than the Cottage Wall DSP combo that is being used so much at the moment! (Although … I DO LOVE that Cottage Wall DSP combo!)

Sandy’s party tomorrow … (his real birthday is next Tuesday – 1st day back at school for Term 2). We have “lazer tag” coming to set up here! It’s so lovely to have some “acreage” to spread out on sometimes! Comes in handy!!! (Remember Shane’s 21st – with the “Bungee Basketball” … and the youth group break up party – with the huge waterslide??? 😉  Thanks for stopping by! Please say hi … if you can spare a mo! 😀 Stampin’ Hugs xxx

I really like monochromatic cards. They tend to be less “busy”. This is lovely. I got to make a couple of cards today and yesterday. Mum & Dad’s anniversary one is done and I am pretty happy with it! Made one for Sandy too! And my Mothers Day ones are done too!
Andrea adds: Yikes! You are organised!!! I haven’t done ANY of these yet!!! Need to get a move on! 😀

    Hi Andrea,
I agree monochromatic cards always look fabo. Funny though, I am yet to make one….one day. Your card is so soft & girly. Love the dotty embossing, this is my fave embossing folder….I have a cuttlebug! TFS. Have a great time at the party, or should I say organizing and overseeing the party. you will certainly deserve a rest after this. Cheers Donna
Andrea adds: Thanks for the encouragement Donna! I hope Sandy enjoys himself! It should be lotsa fun! And … I’m with you … love the polka dot backgrounds! Just adds a little more to a card! 😀

  3. You may not have made the deadline but I’m glad you still posted this – LOVE the side border of flowers!
Hope the birthday party goes well – WE could have used some more space last weekend for the 18th – 80+ bodies rumbling around – LOL.
Andrea adds: LOL! I’m am such a dumbspud! Thanks for your sweet encouragement! Wow! And … I thought 10 little 12 year olds would be a handful! You did well! Hugs to you! xxx

I agree with Donna abt this C’bug folder…it is my fave too prob. Love the attention to detail (the dewdrops) and thought they were Crystal Effects…but I was wrong!! Cld even be used as a baby card this one. Love it……even tho it is that pesky colour…LOL. Brilliant Job and I hope all goes well with Laser Tag!!
Andrea adds: LOL! You know what they say … “Great Minds” … I think I might have catalogued this as a baby card! But … really is multi-purpose! And … this pesky colour somehow keeps popping up! I will have to make a deliberate attempt when I am reaching for my pinks to think “no … this can be done in purples or blues or greens” and go for that! 😉

    Hello there lovely 🙂

I am in the middle of my lunch break and thought what better way to spend it, then pop in on my dear friend. You have been so busy again, so many lovely cards. I am really enjoying all your different takes on challenges. You must be keeping your card bin nice and full.

This card is lovely, beautiful colours, layout and stamp set. I love the embossed background. I have just received my bigshot and should get that folder this week. It’s very exciting 🙂

I really, really love the card you did for Keesh’s inspiration challenge. It is just gorgeous. I love those colours, and really, really love the polka dot ribbon.

I hope the birthday party went well and I hope Sandy has a lovely day tomorrow as well.

Take care, have a wonderful week.

    Love Lee-Anne
Andrea adds: What a lovely message, Lee-Anne! I have missed seeing your smiling face around! But … it is soooo great that you are back blogging and stamping! I love seeing your creations … and always am in awe of the professional way you handle colours & combos! Always perfection! 😀 Hope life is a little less busy … and you continue to get some “me time”! Hugs, Andrea xxx
