Snow Swirled – 3D Stamping

Hi everyone!

This is going to be really quick … you should see my “to do” list … I can’t even see the end of it at the moment … the toilet roll has run away from me!!! Yes … it truly is that long! 😀 First … though … I had a FABULOUS time in Melbourne … Gav spoilt me completely … and it was a wonderful “just us” time. I know … we BOTH missed the kids … and so many times found ourselves saying … “wouldn’t Sheree (or Skye or Sandy or Shane or Stace or Jono) love this!!!” BUT … Gav has ALWAYS insisted that we have a few days away for our anniversary … just to have some time without kid distractions … and I know that I am very blessed to have a hubby who does feel it is important … and always manages to organise something special! (When the kids were little it was only an overnight trip … but now they are all self-sufficient … it is much easier to get away for a few days!)

We stayed at the Hilton at South Wharf … and I gotta say … it was soooooo great. It is all the “little  things” that makes a good hotel … a GREAT ONE! We were upgraded to a city view room … and the view was just lovely. We shopped … DFO (right next door) … Docklands … Melbourne Central … Queen Victoria Markets. We went to Gold Star Movies … and munched on churros with chocolate dipping sauce!!! (Saw Killers … enjoyed it thoroughly!) We dined out … a “Greco” restaurant on the Casino “strip”. We enjoyed hotel buffet breakfasts every morning … (and then didn’t eat again until dinner time!!!) 😀 I got some new clothes … yes!!! And … Gav was soooooo patient! We walked and walked and walked!!! The only downer … Tiger Airlines!!! But … that story is for another day!!! Just know we are NOT travelling Tiger again! Anyway … I really need to keep moving … here is one of the cards we made at Stamp Club recently … showing the “3D technique”. (Details are on the card recipe!)

So … while I was away I missed SU! Sydney Regionals Rego … the new catty online … new catty goodies to pre-order … pre-order details for customer cattys … rego of tables for our team launch/fundraiser … etc etc etc. So … I really do have to get moving. And … of course … 1st on the priority list is the school newsletter!!! (I could really do without that today!!! But … it is a responsibility that I just can’t dump in anyone else’s lap at such late notice!) I will see you soon … I HOPE!!! 😉 Have a nice day! Stampin’ Hugs xxx

  1. I can only imagine how pretty this is IRL Andrea. It looks so beautiful. LURVE the non traditional colour palate. Chrissy is always better with a bit of shine.
It sounds like you and Gav had a brilliant Late-aversary…of which I am wrapped. The hotel sounds like a real hard place to get use to and all that eating out….just AWFUL!! LOL!! 😉 Can’t wait to see the pictorial fashion parade of your new clothes…hee hee hee. great news fm your perspective is that the next one is not that very far away…anniversary that is. BTW….clone GAV and his generous nature…and send it out to all those who aren’t as lucky as you!! LOL!! ooxx
Andrea adds: Yes! I do know how blessed I am with my darling hubby! I wish you all had one just like mine!!! Feel free to quote my experiences … if you think it will help! Oh … there WILL NOT be any fashion parade!!! Gav noticed there wasn’t a single photo of me on our trip away!!! LOL! I don’t do photos!!! 😀 😉 xxx

  3. Hi Andrea that is a lovely card, I hope that set is in the new Uk catty in October.
I love how you do the recipe cards, is that a feature that you’ve added or can it be used in blogger as well.
    Have a great day

Hi Lisa! I create the recipe cards using “Publisher” … a home desktop publishing program … then I “group” all the bits of the document together … and “save as a picture” … then upload just like I would a photo! It is a little fiddling around … but once you have a “template” document … it is just a matter of changing the details each time! Hugs xxaxx
