Hi guys!
I have finished all 3 of the week 3 challenges … now I just have to get them posted in time! This first one is a sketch challenge (#7) and I teamed it with an old Colour Throwdown Challenge! I haven’t pulled out my Fifth Ave Floral rose for a while … and it was nice to use it again! Click on challenge pics to view other submissions for these challenges.
Don’t forget to check out the Helping Hudson website … they have some FAB tutorial packs for sale (I have bought a couple and am just waiting to hear back from them with the downloads). The packs are FULL of great ideas. And … I know that a huge effort has gone into this fundraiser for a dear little boy … it is wonderful what the SU! community can do when a few demos get together to make a difference! I hope you can support them! The fundraiser only has a few more days to run!
Family update: Skye begins her HSC Trial Exams today … complete with a torn calf muscle courtesy of her Touch Footy Grand Final that she played in last night! (They lost 7-6 … but played extremely well! It was try for try for the whole game! They just ran out of time!) Thankfully it is not as bad a tear as the one she did 2 weeks before Stacey’s wedding but it is quite sore and she does need to keep it iced & up … which is going to be tricky with exams going on … but she is feeling better this morning … so hopefully it will mend quickly. (I couldn’t get her into the physio for a whole week! 😯 What???!!!) Sandy is at his State Athletics comp today at Sydney Olympic Park … he is competing in Long Jump … Discus … Shot Put! It was an early start this morning … but thankfully Gav was able to take some time off to do this one! And … grandy went too! I am off to Kiama to take my mum & dad to skin specialist & have some lunch! Have a nice day, everyone! Stampin’ Hugs xxx

I love this rose Andrea…..I now have the set….must get it out again!! The shading just adds so very much more depth…I love it!!! Beautiful card fm a beautiful soul. Sending out healing vibes to Skye and fingers crossed for Sandy!! ooxx
Andrea adds: I love it too … and haven’t had it out for a while! Skye is on the mend … definitely not as bad as last time … and Sandy won his discus event at the State Carnival. Now … he moves onto a wider pool … all the “combined independent schools” … another bigger STATE competition. Rather exciting for him … he has never got past the CSSA state comp before! He is happy! 😀 Hugs xxaxx

Hi Andrea,
That card is stunning, I too love the shading, and you’ve used the colours so so beautifully.
I hope Skye’s leg is improving and that it isn’t hindering her study,
Cheers,
Fi xox
Andrea adds: Poor Skye … her leg is improving … but now she is flu-ey … and her asthma is playing up this morning. Her asthma is not severe … and she hasn’t had any trouble for several months (except when playing sport) … but today she has woken quite wheezy! Oh well … she can only do her best … and it is all in God’s hands! At least that is a comfort to her! Thanks for your concern! Hugs Andrea xxx

Love what you’ve done with the ribbons!
Andrea adds: Thanks Genna! I have been trying to “think outside the square” with my ribbons, lately! I love finding new ideas for ribbons for my cards … so I always notice how people use their ribbons! It’s nice you noticed mine! 😀 Hugs xxaxx

I LOVE THIS CARD!!! This is so beautiful Andrea…..I saw it the day you posted it and have been itching to tell you how gorgeous it is. I love the flower as the background and the bible verse just sets it all off so nicely….love that verse – have to keep reminding myself of it. The colours are so beautiful too.
I hope all is well in your household. Poor Skye, it doesn’t sound like she is having the best time. I hope her exams go well and that she feels better soon. Cam has his mocks in a couple of weeks and then it’s called the ATAR here (they keep changing the name), which I think is in early November. Stressful times ahead 🙂 And a big congratulations to Sandy, sounds like you have quite the athlete there. Lots of proud mummy moments I’m sure.
Love and hugs

Andrea adds: Yes … Skye’s final score is called ATAR now too. I think it is a national uni entrance score now. Funny how Cam’s exams are called “mocks” … and here in NSW they are called “trials”. Skye’s final exams are in October. She is one of the first finished in her class … on 29th. I was really happy with the way this card turned out … not sure who will receive it … but it is a good one to have “just in case!” I love the verse too! Hugs xxaxx
