Hello everyone!
I was beginning to get withdrawals … were you??? 😥 I am NOT going to bore you with the details of my busy life … just suffice it to say … last week was a DOOZY … and the weekend was just as bad … and then the new week started off with me chasing my tail for the whole day yesterday!!! 😯 But … finally I have found a few minutes to pop by and say hi! Before I show you my card for today … I just wanted to remind you … that my BLOG CANDY OFFER expires tomorrow night! Yes … the challenge finishes tomorrow … so you need to get your entries in NOW!!! (I know a couple more friends have said they will get a card submitted … so … I hope you find the time to get that in today!) Here is a reminder of the inspiration picture … (click on this pic for all the details for this challenge!)
And … here is a reminder of the 1st prize on offer! (Oh … and did I mention … every entry will win a prize???)
So … time for a card! This one is from our Stamp Club last week … we did a “refresher” class on brayering. Our first card was to highlight the “bouncing brayer” technique …
This technique is explained on SCS …. but their sample uses a kaleidoscope stamp pad (multi colour). Seeing I don’t have one of those … I just adapted by using 3 different colours for the background effect. Regal Rose, Melon Mambo & Tangerine Tango. I think it looked quite striking … particularly with the Black! My girls commented that they would never have thought to put pink & orange together … but were quite impressed with the final result! 😀 Details for this technique can be found on my card recipe at the end of the post!
I do have to fly (AGAIN!!!! 🙄 ) Skye’s music class is doing their HSC practice performances at school this afternoon. Skye is singing 2 songs + another of her own compositions. She has still not recovered fully from her flu from last week … but … I am sure my mum hat will go on 😉 and I will think she is singing like an angel! 😀 Hopefully by the time she has to perform again for her final HSC … she will be completely well. Hope you are having a happy day. Stampin’ Hugs xxx

Oh dear…. is the competition really closing tonight? I read this post an hour ago and jumped up and started creating…. now I am waiting for the crystal effects to dry. Hopefully I get it to you before the stroke of midnight…. if I like the end result. LOL! I don’t want to win a prize – just support you!
Love that razzle dazzle is coming back! Bring on September 1 and a new SU catty.
Cheers
Sonia
Andrea adds: Hey Sonia! Good news … it is actually closing tomorrow night at 9pm … so that Crystal Effects can dry a little longer! Am trying to do some blog hopping but am screaming at my computer ’cause it is so slow! I just can’t win! xxaxx

Wowsers…how effective is this technique. I dunno if its the way you have “bounced’ the brayer, but it almost looks like rays at a suset coming fm the image with the flowers stamped on it….and the colours really KICK it on the black too. Brilliant choice!! (did I just give a backhand compliment to PINK???) 😉
I so hope that Skye is on the mend. Back in the Stone Age I did a slit performance major for Music in my HSC and I know how it drains you. Lotsa rest and hugs fm Mum. Please pass on my best to her. Also hope that YOU are taking care of YOU!!!! (or else…hee hee hee) ooxx
Andrea adds: I am so glad that I have you to check up on me … because no one else does! 😉 Thanks for being so caring! Skye did brilliantly at her HSC practice performance this afternoon. She just blew us away! Wish I could work out how to share the video … must put that on my list of things “to do”! Oh … and thanks for the PINK compliment! xxaxx
