“Snowed” … an understatement!

Hi girls!

Do you know I wrote the title for this post last night … got interrupted … and didn’t get back to the computer at all! So … “Snowed” … ain’t that the truth! 😉 I am so hanging for the school holiays in October! In all the busy-ness of the new Catty month + soccer finals + Yr 12 exams + Music performances + sports gala days + birthdays + 50th anniversarys + father’s day + catty launch + orders … I just haven’t had a chance to stamp with any of my pre-order goodies. So … you will have to be satisfied with something I  made a couple of weeks ago. I would so love to show you some NEW STUFF !!! Perhaps by the end of next week … after the Catty Launch I might find some time to stamp just FOR ME!!! In the meantime I do have plenty of Stamp Club & StampNGiggle projects to share!

Isn’t this an elegant colour combo? It is a Colour Throwdown combo. They have had some gorgeous combos lately … I am just sad that I haven’t had the time to play! (Click on challenge pic to visit the site!)  This card is showing layered images … and I am a huge fan of this technique since watching Shelli demonstrating at the last two conventions. And … I have used my fav butterfly stamp … too! (Sorry the photography is a little dark!) Well … I need to go order some daffodils for our Cancer Council Launch night … and pack some guest packs … so I had better stop procrastinating.

Today is Gav’s mum & dad’s 50th wedding anniversary … oooh! that reminds me … I need to finish their card!  We are going up to Sydney tonight … to Darling Harbour. We have booked a room on the “South Steyne” … an old boat that is moored on the harbour. It is going to be a special night. Skye has written a song for her grandparents. (I was stunned to hear it last night and realise that it had only taken 2 hours for her to write!) I know I am her mum … but sometimes I am just so in awe of her musical gifts! I would so love to be able to do what she does! Sandy has his soccer GRAND FINAL tomorrow … but will probably be worn out after a big night tonight! Not good timing!  We did suggest that we have the dinner tomorrow night … it would have been much less of a rush for the workers having to leave work early to make it in time up to Sydney … but some sentimental family members felt it should be ON THE DAY! We are not expecting Sandy’s team to win tomorrow … as the team he is playing against is undefeated for the season. Sandy’s team has had 1 draw & 2 narrow losses against them … so I guess there is always a chance! Anyway … I better fly … it is going to be a busy day! AGAIN!!!!!! 🙄  Stampin’ Hugs xxx

PS: Oooh! I forgot to add … I haven’t forgotten about my blog challenge … I will get my family to help me choose a winner ASAP! Keep watching for the announcement! Prizes for EVERYONE!!!! 😉

It must be so fabulous to live in a house of SUCH inspiration, talent and creativity Andrea. The card is STUNNING and I love the colour combo to bits. Everything in it is balanced so beautifully. The b’flies just finish it off.
I’ll send u as much energy reserves as I can….man u push it to the limit. Best of luck for Sandy “Kewell” and I hope you all have a beautiful night away. Very NOICE place to stay….better if the weather is in ur favour. Breathe, enjoy and relax. ooxx
Andrea adds: Ooooh! I wish we were staying … but sadly it is just for dinner! It will take us at LEAST 2 hours to get home … hence the worry about Sandy’s late night before his big soccer game. He managed to clash heads with another kid at school today … blood nose … bad headache … swollen nose!!! Great timing!!! Giggle … never rains but it pours! Thanks for the hugs and kisses … you have no idea what a boost they always are for me! Hugs right back at ya! xxx
