To You From Me – Another Distressed Card

Hello lovelies!

Ok … so I am kinda excited to show you today’s card! I can tell you … I was determined (after my first lousy effort) … to create a distressed card that I was even just slightly happy with. Yesterday’s card was better … BUT … my third effort was much more satisfying!!! 😉 So … the excitement comes from a feeling of self satisfaction. I wouldn’t say I am the distressing queen … but I would say I am starting to get the knack! What do you think?

I have also just completed a card for my Twilight Stamp Club class tomorrow night … that I am thrilled with. So … girls …  it won’t be as fiddly and time consuming as this sample … BUT … we are doing distressing!!! Yay!!! 😀

Did you notice those GORGEOUS roses??? I absolutely have to thank  Andrea Buckland for sharing a picture tutorial for these “little roses”. I added a little tweak to Andrea’s by rolling the edges of each of the “petals” before rolling the rose up … but … this was just a little extra. I am rather pleased with my first attempt at these sweet accents! Make sure you take a look at my card recipe for all the step by step details for creating this card. It is well worth the effort! 😀 Ok … back to prepping for my stamp club!

Oh! Just before I go … don’t forget the deadline for joining up for the INKspiration 4 U Christmas Class … and don’t forget to leave a comment on my post at the top of the page to go in the draw for a free pass to this class!

  1. You are getting the hang of this distressing thing. I absolutely love those roses, esp in that colour. While I loved Pink Pirouette, I like the extra depth of colour in Blushing Bride.

Andrea adds: Yes! I love that Pink Pirouette is now a core colour … but I will enjoy Blushing Bride for the 2 years that we have it. Thanks for the encouragement, Fi! Hugs xxaxx

Oh wow Andrea, I love everything you have been creating. You are such a busy little bee, so much going on in your life, so many mum things to do and yet you still manage to create and share such wonderful creations. I am in awe.

Congratulations on the design team position too…that is great news and very well deserved. I hope it goes really well for you.

Sorry for my lack of comments recently…my sister is about to head to Queensland with my gorgeous niece and nephew. They go next week and will be gone for 12-18 months. So, I’ve been spending every available moment with her and the littlies. I am so thankful I’m not working as it’s meant I could spend as much time with her as possible. So, as soon as next week is over I hope to be making cards and posting again, plus fitting in lots of blog surfing…once I stop crying of course…..I am going to miss them so much.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend. Take care.

    Love Lee-Anne

Andrea adds: Oh … Lee-Anne … I think it is time for a big hug (((((((((((((((((((((((Lee-Anne))))))))))))))))))))))))) … wish I could do more. I hope you manage to get through next week … perhaps stamping will be a distraction. I know how much you love spending time with those kiddlies … and how much you will miss your sis. I have a sis in Q’ld too … and miss catching up with her. But … she has been there for over 25 yrs now … so I am kinda used to it! 😀 Gav’s sis went to Vanuatu at the beginning of this year (missionary work) … and will be there for 4 yrs altogether … but … I guess brothers cope a little better than sisters do! Have a lovely weekend … and enjoy every minute with your lovely family. Hugs xxaxx
