FTL114 – Clean & Simple Sketch

Hello everyone!

I have two baby girl cards to make … and as soon as I saw the latest FTL Sketch … I had a picture in my head for this one! It is such a fun sketch … and I hope you check out the Clean & Simple blog … because Heather’s latest snowflake creation for this sketch is stunning! I love the variety of cards that our C&S blog friends have come up with for this sketch! (Click on sketch to check them out) I did have fun creating this one!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Aren’t those “Baby Tees” sooooo sweet! These images are from the NEW “Baby Tees” Jumbo Wheel stamp in the IB&C (page 57). Now I know you are going to ask … How did you get those images to stamp randomly … instead of in the straight line that they usually “roll” in??? Well … I got the idea from Keesh … to remove the rubber from the wheel stamp & cut around each image … mount onto “EZY Mount” – foam cushioning … and use these individual stamps with my clear mount blocks! How clever & how versatile!!! 😀 All the images are coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers … and I used a pale & darker shade of each of the three colours. The  initial colour combo was from my Colour Coach … Pretty in Pink/Marina Mist/Daffodil Delight. And … I teamed these colours with … Pink Pirouette/Bashful Blue/Barely Banana (ret. SU!). Makes for a pretty combo … perfect for a baby card!

Well … I have to do a birthday card for a 12 yr old boy today. Hhhhmmmmm …. that will take a little thought! I also want to send a card to a friend who lost her son a year ago … and another who lost her husband around the same time. And … of course … I have to do that 2nd baby card! So … I think I am going to have a nice day playing with my stamps! Have a great day everyone! Hugs xxaxx

I love this Andrea, you have done an amazing job with the sketch. It looks fantastic. I really love your colouring as well, such gorgeous colours. You are on a roll girl, all these gorgeous cards you’re creating.
It sounds like you are going to have a fabulous day too, lots of stamping being done….sounds like the perfect day. Although some of the reasons for the cards are not so nice and I’ll be thinking of you as you try to create something just right for those that lost loved ones.
    Enjoy your day, dear friend
    Love and hugs

Andrea adds: Thanks Lee-Anne! Always nice to know that you are thinking of me! Ditto, hunny! The SWMarkers aren’t quite so good as Copics for blending … but … they do match so beautifully with the card, embellishments & ribbons … that’s why I love them!! 😀 Hugs xxaxx

Another big AWWWWWWWWW factor card darl!! The whimsical rompers are too cute!! I have de-mounted all my wheels now and have them as one long stamp. I actually use tem a LOT more this way. I have finally folded and put a colour coach on the wish list to help me cope with the procrastination factor…LOL!! I also downloaded an SU colour thingy fm somewhere that I can use till my fiscal stamping allowance allows me more wishlist…LOL. Love the bright, happy nature of the card. Well done again. ooxx
Andrea adds: I love it that you share all your latest SU! purchases & wish list items! Makes for happy reading! I love the colours in this card … you are right … bright and happy! Hugs xxaxx

That Baby Tees roller is fantastic… and I am considering unmounting mine too! I have seen so many things done with it!

    Cheers

Andrea adds: I am keen to use it again! It’s the kinda stamp … that you only use, though … when you have a baby card to create! And … I don’t get a lot of them! Hugs xxaxx
