Hello everyone!
It is soooooo quiet around here … although … I am listening to the noise of the motor bikes out the back. Sandy & Gav are riding with Sandy’s friend, Luke & his dad, Phil. Shane has his head in study books … and the girls are away for the weekend. So … even though it has been quiet … this has meant that I have just managed to do some FUN stamping! Yes … not the “getting ready for a class” type stamping … but some “not for any particular reason” type stamping! I have had a ball. A couple of these cards you won’t see until I start my “25 Days of Christmas” on Dec 1 … but I can show you 3 challenge cards that I managed to complete! Yayayayaya! I have had heaps of fun! I love this sketch! I’m sure I will use this one again! Don’t forget to check the other gorgeous creations at Just Add Ink! (click on sketch!)
I’m not sure if you can see the shimmer paint that I added to the wings of the butterflies.? It looks sooooo pretty! Isn’t this a gorgeous colour combo! You probably can’t quite see the ribbon accent that I have added. The black gingham is on top of some white organza ribbon & “tied together” with a rhinestone brad. I got this idea from a card by Kerin Sylvester. Actually … lots of the ideas on this card come from Kerin! I have tweaked her design to suit this different sketch layout and added a few of my own touches! Hhhmmm … perhaps I shouldn’t be entering this into this challenge at all … seeing that it is kinda a CASE??? Ooops! Giggle! Oh well … if it isn’t eligible … at least I had lotsa fun making this one! 😀 😉 Well … the boys are in from riding … so I had better go think about dinner. C U all soon! xxaxx
Added: Thurs 11th Nov … I was so excited to discover today … that I made the “Top Picks” at JAI!!! I am doing a little happy dance! It is such a thrill to see all the beautiful creations … and then realise that I was TOP 5!!! I really needed that boost today … and I am very thankful to the JAI girls for choosing my card! I wish I could give you all a hug! xxaxx

WOW!! This is gorgeous Andrea. I can see the inspiration from Kerin’s card but not what I would consider a CASE. The ribbon detail is absolutely beautiful, as are the Burtterflies and colours you have chosen. I am going to CASE YOU!!

I love the way tou have inked and shimmered the butterflies, ruffled the ribbon and used a double layer of embossing. Glad you had time to play this week.

My, do I feel slack and a little slow…on the end of such a MONUMENTAL comment list!!!! All of them very much deserved as well tho Andrea. Echoing those before…it is so very elegant (as is all things B & W) and te splash of PP adds a tad of interest!!! the shimmer DOES show up on the wings (I love those b’flies) and I am falling more in LURVE with that sentiment set the more I see it. Great scissor work too on the b’flies darl. BTW…more than happy to play 2nd fiddle to Gabbi if you wish 😉 ….hee hee hee!! ooxx

Oh my Andrea, this is so very beautiful. I love the elegance of it, all the white with just a hint of other colour is perfect. The butterflies are gorgeous and the ruffled ribbon divine. I agree with the others that you definitely put your own touch on this card, even if the idea came from another. It is really, really lovely.

Andrea, just been on JAI site and noticed your top 5 pick last week, just love those butterflies I have that stamp set but have not used it alot, love the colour combination, you have some wonderful cards here.
