2 Clean & Simple challenges

Hello to all my bloggies! (blog buddies) 😀

Well ………….. My play day with Leonie, Jenny & Tracey … ended up being a marathon! We arrived at 10.30am … and didn’t get home until 1am this morning!!!!!!! 😯 I am just soooooo NOT used to being up that late. (I am definitely NOT  a late night crafter!) 😉 By the time I was doing the last project around 12 ish … colouring with markers … my eyes were going cross-eyed 😯 … and I just knew that I was all stamped out! But … It WAS such a fun day … and I have soooo much to show you! We did have a productive day! Lots of giggles … lots of sharing … lots of stamping … lots of yummies … and lots of love! 😀 I still have to do some photographing of the projects we made … so I thought I would pop a card here that I made on Monday for a new challenge that I found!

The Christian Paper Crafts Creative Blog have a few challenges going at the moment …  “Today’s Clean and Simple Challenge 9 is to bring in the new! This means to use something new and shiny with some bling on your card or project.” And … I have combined this with the recent  sketch from the Clean & Simple Challenge #120.

So … I think the Bible verse represents the New Year (new season!) The “shiny” is my Old Olive satin ribbon … the “bling” – rhinestone jewels … and … I thought I would incorporate some of my “new” purchases into this card … to represent “bring in the new”.

  • Scalloped Heart  of Hearts Embosslits Die
  • Square Lattice Embossing Folder (Summer Mini Catalogue)
  • Island Oasis DSP &  (Summer Mini)
  • Silver Foil Smooch Spritz  (Summer Mini)

I think in this pic … you can see the silver foil smooch spritz that I have sprayed on the lattice embossing? It is a little more obvious than the platinum shimmer paint mist that I have made up & used a few times! 😀  It is quite pretty. And … I am loving that new embossing folder! Well … I had better toddle off and unpack my supplies & goodies from yesterday! 😀 Can’t say that I feel like doing that … but I should get that job done before I do anything else!! Then … Shane, Christine & I are off to have lunch with g’ma & g’dad! Hope you are having a lovely day. I am missing my kiddies … but have been busy enough that the time is passing quite quickly! See you soon! Hugs xxaxx

It’s not so hard to stay up until 1 a.m. when you are doing something you love. The real problem is being a functioning human being the next day!

I love your card and I am amazed to say that I had never been to the Christian Paper Crafts blog so, once again, you have broadened my horizons!! (Gotta run play on their blog and decide whether I should pay to register!! Have you?)
Andrea adds: Yes … functioning the next day … is the big payback!!! 😉 No … haven’t paid to register … mainly because I just haven’t had the time to read all about it! So … if you do … you can tell me all about it! (You can give me the readers digest version … so I don’t have to read it all!) 😀 😉 Hugs xxaxx

I don’t think that I could have lasted the night out! Hmmm… perhaps a few berocca’s were needed the next day to give you some oomph! LOL!

I am looking forward to seeing what your creative genius put together.

    Cheers

Andrea adds: The bag & card I posted today were a project we shared at our play day! It was fun to see the different colour combos & designs that we all came up with! Hugs xxaxx

  8. So pretty, Andrea! How lovely that you got to have a stamp-a-thon – I would be paying for that late of a night as well! Off to check out the Christian Paper Crafts site!
Andrea adds: I hope to find some time to do some more CPCC challenges. They look fab! Still paying for the late night … two days later! 😉 Have been popping by your blog regularly … Hugs xxaxx
