Hi there bloggies!

on

Hello guys!

I am feeling a little lonely this afternoon! You know … one of those “I don’t really know what is up with me … but I feel like sulking” times????? Really … I am not sure why I feel down in the dumps … except that it is Saturday afternoon … and Gav (& Shane) are away … and Sandy is doing his science project, Sheree is preparing lessons for her prac next week … and Skye is at uni doing 2 end of session exams. I have this urge to stamp … almost overwhelming BUT I CAN’T!!! I have to prepare Sunday School lessons for 6x 3yr olds … and help Sandy with his project … so I am feeling annoyed at not being able to stamp. I feel like stamping my feet and throwing a tanty … I WANNA STAMP!!! 😦 Oh … & NO … I am not “hormonal”!!!!!!! 😉 Anyway … I thought I would procrastinate a tad … and stop by here to post a quickie!

This was the ribbon tags that I created for our Clayton’s convention awards dinner certificates. I had fun preparing both the certificates … and the decos for them …

And … here are the decorated lolly jars that I made for Prize Patrol. (I made 3 of these!)

Did you notice the fab “emerging colour” on the cardstock decorating the bottles??? Wanna know how to do this super technique??? Then … check out my quick tutorial below …

CC May11 - Prize Patrol AL

Please leave some blog love … I am feeling a little lonely!!!

I better go do that Sunday School lesson … and see how Sandy is going with his project.

Stampin’ Hugs xxxxx

I pretty much expected this to happen u know. You have been so “all consumed’ by these past few months…that you feel antsy and fidgety when you have more than a couple of moments to breathe and just “BE”. If I were you….(be thankful I am not BTW) I WOULD jump up and down, scream, rant, rave, jump up n down and do all of that. Then after all of that angst etc has been released….you’ll prob have a nanna nap and wake up feeling FAB!!
I am only ever an e mail.txt/call away. If it makes you feel any better…I have a S### load of things to do and can not get motivated either way to do it or not. So I got my lappy out…and there I read ur trials and tribulations!!!
I love your speccy touches on the projects you did. I have never tried emerging colour and appreciate the tute.
I use to teach the young ones at Sunday school. I thought I had a good idea with the wall of Jericho…some scrunched up crepe paper balls and Clag glue…..forgot to factor in the 3-4 yo factor. U don’t need to be Einstein to wk out the result. I got a real giggle, sadly some did not.
Sending you more Loves n hugs darl. ooxx
Andrea adds: I am smiling at the thought of your tanty! I would love to see that!!!! Thanks my friend for being here to make me smile … just when I needed a good pick-me-up! I can always count on you! Am laughing at the wall of Jericho story … and imagining how you would have rescued the situation. Oh … BTW … I don’t think I ever commented on the satin pj’s story! That was HILARIOUS! And well deserving of an ovation … because the story was told with such gusto! I was suitably impressed with the effort … and totally get the aversion to satin … that you have! Andrea adds: Me too!!! 🙂 The night has brightened considerably … as my darling Stacey … and precious Bree have just arrived to spend the night! (Jono has also gone to the men’s camp with Gav & Shane). I am going to take advantage of some nice long Bruddles!!! 🙂 (Lynda calls “Bree cuddles” … “Bruddles” … and I love it! ) Hugs xxaxx

    hi Andrea,
I love the little Owls & Tags for your dinner certificates also the ribbon as well. I also love the lolly jars how you decorated that with the cardstock , ribbon and the colours. I really enjoy seeing your creative work you do.
Oh by the way you are aloud to sulk that is part of grieving for your Dad. If you need to sulk do so cause that part of stress release and it needs to come out. Don’t bottle it up cause that doesn’t help you or your family.
    Take care
    Ingrid
Andrea adds: Thanks Ingrid! I really need to use that owl stamp more often! I do love it! Thanks for the kind words! Hugs xxaxx

    Hi Andrea,

Maybe it’s the weather … lol. I ended up inviting a craft buddy around today as I too was having a PLOM (poor little ol’ me) day so Lija and I ended up crafting, drinking coffee & chatting ….. hmmm – maybe that should read chatting, drinking coffee & crafting. I hate winter and today it’s not only cold but it’s wet too 😦

Then mum and dad dropped by to show off their new car and stayed for morning tea which was lovely.

Hubby cooked a lovely tea for me tonight and now I’m settling down in front of my laptop with a cup of milo and a couple of wheat bags which I’ve just heated in the microwave. Have a sooky dog curled up on the floor keeping my feet warm so all’s good.

    Hugs, Keryn x x
Andrea adds: Hi Keryn! Thanks for popping by to say hi! 🙂 Sounds like what started as a miserable day (love the word PLOM!) … turned out okay! So glad you got to do some crafting! And … sounds like your hubby is a keeper! Hugs xxaxx

Oh dear, you’re on a downer…. after so much going on and being constantly occupied, and then nothing… And I can understand how you are now frozen, as you have a choice in what to do!
I am glad to read that Stace and Bree have arrived…. the afternoon will be gone before you know it!
Your certificate tags are so cute and the emerging colour technique is great.
    Cheers

Andrea adds: Trust my bloggies to take the time to send me a “pick me up”! What would I do without you all??? Lotsa Bruddles over the weekend was good therapy. But … still no stamping. Hopefully today??? Hugs xxaxx

Want to lend me some of your mojo??? I had all day to stamp today, and all I managed to produce was 1 brayered top note……which is sitting on my desk all by it’s lonesome waiting for everything else to magically appear and create itself!!! Why on earth did I say I would do scrapbook style technique sheets for my next class when I know scrapping is more painful for me than pulling teeth?????? Here’s hoping the scrapping fairies turn up while I’m sleeping and finish everything off for me while I’m sleeping 🙂 hope you get some play time tomorrow xxxxxx
Andrea adds: Thanks for the giggle Mel! And … if I find some mojo … I will be happy to share!!! Hope those scrapping fairies didn’t let you down!? Hugs xxaxx

Andrea adds: I have had a lovely morning (Monday – public holiday here in AUS) … the two girls and I went out for breakfast … did a little shopping … and now we are home ready to snuggle in front of a movie. (It is rainy & miserable here today!) Hopefully … later … I will get some stamping done. But … I am treasuring some time with my girls today! Hugs xxaxx

I was so looking forward to a long weekend at home with nothing planned except making cards and have been too sick to even feel like it! What a waste! Though it has been nice to slow down and do nothing for a change so I won’t complain too much. Will see what tomorrow brings!
Andrea adds: Hope you are feeling a little better sis! And … hope you feel up to some stamping! It certainly is the weather for it! Hugs xxaxx

Hope your weekend has improved 😉 – the weather sure hasn’t!! 😯 Cold, miserable & wet!! Makes me try extra hard to warm my family’s hearts – long weekend & all. 🙂
I’m not holding much chance for Cordeaux’s primary athletics carnival tomorrow! 😕 Getting the kids off to school is hard enough – but when it is wet, it is extra hard.
I’m just working when I get a call – back to Tuesdays and Thursdays for Cord & Tong. Michael starts back at work this week 😥 , so things will change alot around here. He has been such a wonderful help as he has progressed to have been able to more – I will miss him so much 😥
I do hope you find the time for “therapy” today, before your loads of washing arrive!, and enjoy time spending on you!!
Thanks for sharing your lovely creations – that winking owl is too cute!
    ♥ Gabbi ♥
Andrea adds: I expect you will have a reprieve tomorrow with the carnival. I am hoping that Sandy’s soccer training this afternoon is cancelled. He has camp this week (Wed – Fri) … I am going to miss him. I can understand you missing Michael (when he returns to work). It is sooooo nice that Gav works from home now. He is here in the mornings to take Sandy to school & then goes out to do medication review interviews with the oldies and then is home by about 1ish … to write up his reports for the docs. I love having him around … and it is also nice having 3 uni kids in and out … and sometimes home all day. I wondered if anyone would notice the winking owl! 🙂 Hugs xxaxx

Gorgeous certificate tags & lolly jars Andrea. The emerging colour technique looks fab – something I haven’t managed to try out yet. Your Clayton’s Convention sounds like it was a lot of fun – you may have a few extra attendees next year. Sending big hugs your way! 🙂
Andrea adds: Oooh! I hope “Pepps Resort” (Leonie’s house at Kiama) is up to it!!! We just had the best of fun! Hugs xxaxx
