A Double Challenge!

Hi bloggies!

I am keen to get to some stamping today … but have had a few distractions …. spending time with my girls. With all the boys away at camp (Sandy had a sleepover last night) … it is just me & my two girls at home today on the public holiday. We went out for brekkie at a nice cafe at the shops … did a little shopping … and are now home & ready to watch a movie. It is a miserable rainy day … and it will be nice to snuggle and relax in front of the TV. I am treasuring the time … and know that these are the memories that are precious.

So … while Ree is in the shower … and before we start the movie … I thought I would share a DOUBLE CHALLENGE card that we created at Clayton’s Convention. We used an old Clean & Simple sketch & a colour combo from the SU! Colour Coach.

I wonder if you can see the pretty Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint that I sponged on the main image & on the pink flowers. This does add such a pretty sparkle to the card.

Here are the samples from the other girls! It is amazing how differently we all interpret a colour combo or sketch … we are all individuals … aren’t we!? 😉 😀

Apology: WordPress really does need to sort the “gallery” thing! I only had 4 pics selected for this gallery below … but (as usual) WordPress sticks every picture added to the post into the gallery. I have to work a way around this … but in the meantime … please ignore the repeated photos! 😦

Well … off to snuggle! I have a great idea for the latest JAI challenge floating around in my head. Now … just need to find the time to actually get it onto a card! Hopefully I can show you that one tomorrow??? Hugs xxaxx

I have learnt fm Ink4U that u ALWAYS get something diff when you throw the same colour combo at folk. That is the beauty of individuality and creativity. So many times I have tossed up selling “Fresh Cuts” and then I see a card to remind me what a fab set it is. I love this card Andrea and am so glad you have got some ‘inkin’ done….so good for the soul!! Yes…i can see the sparkle too…..or perhaps that’s ur aura cause you got to STAMP!!!
Please pass on my congrats to the other gals too on som mighty PURDY cards. Love them.
Hope the movie is enjoyable….”sheeting” down with rain here too….have so many things to pic…can’t do it!! I have managed to post tho…so that’s one thing off the list.
Love n hugs ur way. ooxx
Andrea adds: Actually … still no stamping … this was a card from our Claytons Convention in May! My fingers are still itchy … and with Gav back again from the camp … I don ‘t think any will be happening today after all. Sigh! 😦 But … MAYBE tomorrow??? Hugs xxaxx

Andrea adds: Yes … another crazy week ahead … except for today! (Wed: 9am appt for mum – pre op; Thu: Eye test & RTA appts for mum; Fri: Driving for pick up for Sandy’s camp – Stanwell Tops; Sat: I AM NOT going to soccer!!! 🙂 ) I am so glad to be staying at home today … with this miserable wet weather. Gorgeous cards! Love to see how one idea inspires such different creations in people. Breakkie, shopping and a movie – Ahh! Sounds like a lovely girly day!

This is a great card. I love how the embossing folder brings a blank corner to life.

Nice colour combo & love what you have done with it. The shimmery flowers look great & I really like the pleated ribbon peeking out from under the petals. Great cards from the other ladies too. 🙂
Andrea adds: Thanks, Helen. I was a little unsure about this card … but it is growing on me! Hugs xxaxx
