Hi girls!
I just finished a Friday Mashup Challenge Card … but I will pop that in another post later today. (Need to photograph it first!) I wanted to take a moment first to show you a couple of beautiful cards that I received in the mail today.
The first is from my dear friend Lynda … who has been such a wonderful support during recent weeks. I really appreciated tapping into her medical expertise when Dad was failing. She was such a strength & encouragement. The second card is from another very special blog friend, Monika (from US). She is such a talented card maker … but always seems to have time to share with me via our blogs!
Well … receiving these two cards gave me an idea for the special comp that the Friday Mashup team are running at the moment. They are giving all the Friday Mashup fans a chance to create their own Friday Mashup Challenge. So … here is my suggestion …
My Mashup Challenge, would be to:
1. Create a ” SYMPATHY CARD” project.
2. Create a project using “DRY EMBOSSING“.
3. Or “Mash it Up!” and create a ” SYMPATHY CARD” project that uses ” DRY EMBOSSING“!
I hope the girls over at the Friday Mashup like the idea. I can’t really class myself as a fan … because I have only just discovered this challenge site. But … I am sure I will be visiting regularly. The great thing about these challenges is you can choose which element to use for your entry … or “mash it up” and do both … which is what I have done on my card for the latest challenge. I am so glad that you like the card darl’n…it came fm the heart to you and your family. I love Monika’s too. Her broder punch is devine. i like the idea of ur mashup. Hope they take it onboard over at the site. I like the pic of my card too….you can hardly see the join….LOL!!!

No…I cut mine…Just as Andrea Buckland had on her tute….I learnt that if you position the cross on the embossing folder, you can make it appear seamless, cause the emossing uncreases the fold!!! It is a tad fiddly, but I am so darn anal abt perfection…it was the perfect challenge for me…hee hee hee. ooxx

Great minds must think alike…lol! Okay, so I am not as pedantic as Lynda… but thanks for the tip…. I’ll see if I can be a bit more pedantic next time and make it appear seamless.
