The Paper Players #53

Added Monday 4th July: Woo hoo! An exhausted happy dance happening! I was picked at “A Cut Above” for this challenge!  It is such a sweet “pick me up” after a trying week! Thanks to Sandra & the girls over at the Paper Players! There is another great “Christmas in July” challenge on this week … I hope I find some time to play! Can’t wait to stamp! xxx

Hi bloggies!

I am happy now … because I have Skye’s birthday pressie all organised! 😀 Talk about leaving it to the last minute … but … hey … I have had a few things on my mind. Gav & I are taking Skye to the specialist today. Her X-rays are quite interesting … the break is very obvious and to me (an untrained eye) there is some displacement … but according to the report … they are satisfactorily aligned. Hhhmmm … I guess we will know more once we see the doctor. Perhaps he will say it is time to put the proper cast on??? Hopefully this will mean a little more mobility. 😀 I had a tiny amount of stamping time yesterday … and so … I thought I would have a go at another of the Paper Players challenges … click challenge pic to see the great Design Team creations!

The flowers on this card are water-coloured using markers and an aqua painter. I’m not sure if you can see it in the photos … but there is some soft sponging around the edge of the white and pink cardstock. I pulled out my fav butterfly stamp … “All a Flutter” and added that as the “feature”. I do hope the girls at Paper Players like this one!

Well … have to fly … Skye is in need of a “bath” before we are off to the docs! I will let you know tomorrow how we get on! I am hoping to pop by and see mum again, too! See you soon! Hugs xxaxx

This is simply stunning and I am very excited to say that I have all of those stamps so I can out this in my CAS file. I am so glad you are finding time to create amidst everything you have to do!
Andrea adds: Half the time, Kim … I am digging in my vault to show you new things … but occasionally I do sit and stamp. I need to … to keep me sane! I am sooooo very tired today … after an exhausting day yesterday (emotionally & physically) … so might have to go to the vault again for today’s post??? Hugs xxaxx

Oh Andrea! This card is absolutley GORGEOUS!!! It honestly took my breath away when I seen it. I love the soft colours, and your watercolouring is amazing. I also love how you used the butterfly instead of the circle. Thank you so much for playing along with the Paper Players this week!

I’m praying everything goes okay with Skye today. (Tues)
Andrea adds: Hi Sandra! Thanks for your prayers … some difficult decisions to make today (Wed) … and I am sooooooo tired. (More later!) Your prayers are very much needed for wisdom about the next step! Thanks for the sweet comments about my card. I really enjoyed taking some time out to make this one … in all the busy-ness that is surrounding me at the moment! Hugs xxaxx

Wow – you’ve made the All A Flutter stamp look like it’s part of the Elements of Style set. Well done!
I think the Paperplayers gals will love this!
I hope Skye is getting more assistance with her break and is able to start moving… herself…a little bit.
    Cheers
    Sonia
Andrea adds: Well … thanks hunny! That sure is a compliment! 🙂 Hhhmmm … Skye is still struggling with all she needs to think about … her knee is very sore (after being out for most of the day yesterday!) and she isn’t sleeping too well … but apart from that … she is coping okay! 😀 Hugs xxaxx

Hi Andrea, this is really delicate & pretty. The soft pink, black & white combo is gorgeous & I love that you used the organza ribbon so the flower can still peek through. That’s my favourite butterfly too, you can do so much with it & I’m very partial to those blooms as well. 🙂
Thank you, I had a lovely leisurely Sunday having a big catchup… My poor old computer didn’t like it too much though & has sinced ceased to work – faithful laptop to the rescue! lol
Andrea adds: The “peeking” was definitely the look I was going for! Thanks for noticing! 🙂 So glad you were able to enjoy your blurfing. It is always nice to feel like you have caught up on a job like that! And … such an enjoyable way to spend a “leisurely Sunday”! Hugs xxaxx

Andrea adds: Not sure if the report was good or bad … just know we have a big decision to make today about surgery vs 14 weeks of plaster??? (More later!) Thanks Jen … for being here so regularly … and leaving blog love for me! Hugs xxaxx

Andrea adds: Hi Melissa! Yes … it is a sweet stamp set … and I’m not sure why we don’t see it … cos it is still in the current catty! I might have to pull it out a little more often! 😀 Hugs xxaxx

Andrea I love your triptitch panel on the front of this card. The soft colours are so delicate. Must also mention that the sympathy card with the flowers masked and stamped around the edge is a gorgeous technique…..I kept waking up last night thinking which stamps I could use to get a similar effect. TFS Cheers Donna Zammit
Andrea adds: That’s the sign of a “mad stamper”, Donna! Guess what!!! I do the same! I thought I was the only one that dreamed card ideas! 😀 Hugs xxaxx
