Hello bloggies!
Do you have mini catties lying around … and you aren’t sure what to do with them?? I like to keep them handy … even if out of date … cos I often refer to them for card recipes & ideas for designs … so I finally got around to creating a “magazine holder” for them to sit on my desk.
Now … because I was limited with sizing … due to the size of the DSP … this is quite a narrow holder … and it doesn’t stand too well on it’s own. But … I have it sitting between a basket (with my clear blocks) and a box with my “ready to use” completed cards … and it sits quite well supported on each side. I imagine it will fit 6 – 8 catties. It looks sweet … and is doing the job I wanted — keeping my mini catties tidy! 🙂 I have drawn up a template so you can see the sizing … and to make it super easy for you to make one of your own! (Click on pics to view larger images!)
I actually cut one each of these templates from the thick packaging card from the DSP packs … and one each from the DSP and stuck them together with Tombow glue before scoring and folding. This makes the holder extra strong and able to support the catties better.
Well … I am a tad tired! 😉 But … S&J have moved into their little villa … and we have achieved a lot in the last few days. I am going back this afternoon to help finish off the unpacking … and then will pop up and see mum again later.
I am itching to stamp! This project definitely has NOT satisfied my withdrawals. But … after Monday (after we clean S&J’s old unit) … my life might quieten down a little??? Here’s hoping, anyway!!! 😉 Hugs xxaxx

So cute and SUCH a good idea. All my minis….doubles n all) are in an A5 envelope with all my catties in a bigger magazine slider. if I made this…I wld need a dedicated spot to put it!!! LOL!! I really MUST case a catty sooner or later….feel like I have missed the bandwagon….hee hee hee!! I love the DP. So bright and (Parisian) breezy!!

So glad that Stacey & Jono (and baby Bree) are settling into a new home – even if the old isn’t quite finished with yet. I hope you have the energy to get things sorted in the early part of next week!
Praying that your mum’s infection heals – it sounds SO painful 😯 & I am so sure she is sick of being in hospital.

We achieved a good deal today … kitchen & pantry all sorted & benches all clear … lounge room all unpacked (except Jono’s computer / TV / stereo gear) … Bree’s room all finished … and bathroom looking great. Stace just needs to finish with clothes … and then they can attack the garage & organise storage in the cupboards there for the stuff they haven’t unpacked & other stuff that needs to find a home! I am tired … so tired that I can’t find the energy to go to the hospital tonight & with Gav in Sydney for a church meeting … I don’t feel like dragging myself there! Great idea Andrea! A friend made one for her embossing folders and I love that idea too – must get around to making one or two. Excellent way to store minis though – stroke of genius!

Thanks for leaving me a message today…..I am so easily distracted when stressed and I am a flutter at the moment for nothing serious in the scheme of things, I am ashamed really but hopefully the Lord will teach me patience and to let go when zI have no control. Andrea adds: Someone once told me … you cannot always change the circumstances that face you … but you can change the way you respond to them. There are definitely times I don’t respond with the gracious patience that I should … but I am learning. So … I think that is the important thing … to learn something from the difficulties … and to try and respond in a way that God would be pleased with. What a fabulous cattie holder. Love the paper you used and that sweet heart. I have some of these but the ugly store bought ones… might need to dress them up a little. :o)
