Hi there my blog friends!

Guess what! I got up this morning … and put on my “trackie dacks” & my slippers!!! That was my statement to say “I’m not goin’ nowhere man!” It was so nice to wake up in my own bed this morning … lie in (just a little) … and know that my calendar today says “nothing to do today”!!! Yep … a free day!!! 😀 😀 😀 Mind you … tomorrow is super busy again … but … hey … I am sooooo going to enjoy my day off today! My sister from Q’ld is staying with mum until Monday … so we have that covered for a few days. Yippee!! 😀 Can you tell I am excited???

On Monday … Jenny, Leonie & I managed to sneak in a stamping day (before mum came home)! My dh commented that it was a “quiet” get-together … not nearly as noisy and silly as it normally is. I think we were all tired. But … even tired stampers … can stamp. And … it was so nice just to catch up and have a good natter! We made a couple of cute punch art animals (for Leonie’s class that night) … and we did a challenge card! Now … Leonie hates challenges! Her brain seems to reject the whole idea!!! She said she prefers to CASE! LOL! So … Jenny & I like to annoy her by setting challenges for her to do!!! 😉

Now … this was supposed to have the new in-colour “Pool Party” as part of the colour combo … but because we don’t get the new in-colours until Sept 1 … I substituted it with Soft Sky (an OLD retired in-colour) instead. It worked quite well. So … this was another double challenge … a Simply Stampin’ sketch (#19) … and a Create, Ink! Colour Lab combo (#52)  …

Honestly … have you ever seen a bad card using the “Bliss” set. What a shame it was only available during Sale-a-bration! It is such a satisfying set to use! I love it! I am really happy with the layered “So Saffron” background. So … would you like to see what Leonie & Jenny came up with for this challenge??? I am always amazed how differently people see things. They both used “Baja Breeze” instead of the “Pool Party” … and they both chose the same stamp set … (although I think that was just Leonie being lazy & not going to look for something herself! See … I told you she had “attitude” about doing this challenge!!! 😉  😀 )

Leonie

Leonie also “tweaked” the colour combo … and added some Basic Grey as well!!! 😀 Well … even though I have a “free day. I do have a few things to do. I have several cards sitting on my desk that need to be written and posted … and I need to catch up on some bill paying. BUT … I do intend to stamp!!! Yippee!!! 😀 See you all soon! Hugs xxaxx

  1. So glad you have a free, stay-in, trackie-dack type of day. I’ve been off work with a bad cold and am hoping to do a bit of stamping, or maybe, shock horror, actually blog something!!! Have watched a gazillion load of tv shows, including all the TV series I’d bought from Amazon UK, so need to something else today that I can do in my trackies too.

    Have a fab day!
    love Fi x
