Hello bloggies!
I managed to get another card done yesterday for the Paper Players #59 Challenge! Yes … sometimes I am a “tad” obsessive compulsive! 🙄 😯 Although yesterday’s card IS growing on me … and it does look so much better IRL than in the photo … my fingers were just itching to do another! I was actually trolling through some past pics to find a card for my “EnchantINK memories” sidebar feature … and came across this lovely card using the “Floating Watercolour” technique. HHHmmm … that got me thinking! 😉 (Seriously bad idea!!!) 😀
I almost could have entered the original … but the pinks weren’t the right ones. And … of course … it does have to be a new card! I wanted to “tweak” this a little … so instead of using the FW technique … I tried something completely new (for me, anyway!) I stamped the image onto glossy card (just like the original) … but I used a blender pen to spread re-inker colour onto the glossy card to colour in the image. If you would like a “step by step” for this process … make sure you check out my card recipe … click on the recipe to enlarge so you can view all the detail properly. You should also be able to click on the opened picture file to enlarge even more! 😀
Hope you are all having a great day! Take care. Hugs xxaxx
OK…another brisk reply!!! I am such a fan of this rose in 5th Ave Floral…and really don’t use it enuf!!! Will click on ur ever so helpfil recipe when I get hm tonight to read more, but I love the effect of the glossy card. Pinks do sit so well with you. I think BOTH attempts at this challenge are FAB. So good to see you getting inky occasionally. ooxx
Andrea adds: I am having withdrawals … but no time for blog hopping at the moment! Already behind with replies to all my comments … but trying to catch up on them tonight! Thanks for your ever so helpful comments!!! 😀 Hugs xxaxx

This is absolutely gorgeous! I have avoided this challenge because that is a LOT of pink. But you have managed to use it and still keep it sweet and subtle (on yesterdays card also!). The coloring and sparkle in the flower is so pretty. The white background keeps it all toned down, yet also enhances it. SO beautiful!
Andrea adds: I like to work with pink … but can understand some people’s aversion to it! I am like that with Pacific Point! 😉 Thanks for the lovely comment, Kim! Hugs xxaxx

I hope things are working out with the caring of your mum – keep serving your Lord – ” ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25v40. ”
Praying for healing for your mum & strength for her carers!
Thanks for sharing,

Andrea adds: What a lovely verse … thanks so much! I am happy to help mum … and I know she appreciates it. The hardest thing is dealing with the emotional down times … but I just keep thinking … perhaps one of my kids will have to do this for me one day!? 😀 Hugs xxaxx
