Stamping Frenzy!

Hi bloggies!

I had a rare morning to myself this morning!!! Yayaya! My lovely m-i-l offered to visit my mum this morning … and spent a few hours there to give me a break! Isn’t she just the best!!! 😀 So … with all that was needing doing around the place … my mission was housework / cooking etc … BUT … something just “came over me” … and I found myself sitting at my desk stamping!!! 😉 (How did that happen???) 😀 And … I was rather pleased with what I achieved! 5 cards in total! A couple for INK4U! that I will share with you once the session begins … but I did manage to do 3 challenge cards! My fingers were humming!!! 😀

So … a tricky colour combo for the Just Add Ink #81 colour challenge … I had to think a little about this one! Here is what I came up with! …

Did you notice my new toy??? My “Lace Ribbon Border Punch” … which I have actually punched and cut horizontally through the centre to make the borders on this centre panel. I was a little “iffey” about this combo … but am quite tickled with how this one turned out. Particularly when I am a little “rusty”  with the stamping … and particularly when I had such a limited time. I saw a similar design to this one (without the new punch) at one of Ness’ training nights a few months ago … and tucked it in my little brain … but managed to forget who designed it. Feel free to let me know if it was you!?  😀

Well … I have to fly! Packed to the Rafters is BACK TONIGHT … and has already started … and I really want to catch it! See you all soon … I hope! Hugs xxaxx

It’s good to see you (or read) and I am so glad you got a little break!

I think you did very well with the colors…the dainty blue flowers stand out beautifully against the oranges. I did this challenge also and really whimped out when my bashful blue was only used for a little steam coming out of a coffee cup!
Andrea adds: I noticed your card in the list … but haven’t had a chance to blog hop for the last couple of weeks! I am having withdrawals from my blog friends!!! 😀 Must pop by soon! Thanks for sticking with me here! Hugs xxaxx

  2. Looks like I’ve been too busy blog surfing and missed ‘Rafters’ but came across this gorgeous card of yours instead. Your embossing and the way you have used the new doily punch looks fantastic. Thanks for joining in with the colour challenge this week.
Andrea adds: Oooh! Perhaps they will do an “Encore” showing??? But … thanks for sacrificing Rafters time to pop by and send me such a lovely message! Hugs xxaxx

You probably deserve to sit and stamp…. or else you’ll burn out!
Again you’ve managed to make that Peach Parfait palatable! Well done!

Can’t wait for I4U to start up again. I hope that I have the time to participate more this time around.

    Cheers
    Sonia
Andrea adds: Can’t wait to see you there again, Sonia! Life is so busy … isn’t it!! But … it is nice to have some “time out” and pop by the forum for a coffee & chat with my INK4U! friends! Hugs xxaxx

Love this mix of colours – it is funny how colours work so well without us ever choosing them 😉 . Also love the card – very nice 🙂 .
Hope you enjoyed Rafters – they had us going that there was an engagement ring in that box of Jake’s – but he is such a sweetie, none of us were disappointed by his thoughtfulness.
    Thanks for sharing,

Andrea adds: I can’t believe Rachel has gone … and now Ben is going to leave!!! You can’t have “Packed to the Rafters” without 2 of the 4 kids!!! And … yes … I was sure it was a ring, too! Take care! Hugs xxaxx

  6. Hi Andrea,

Glad you got in some stamping time. Those flowers look fab & I love your use of the lace punch.
Did you cry in Rafters? I did. Didn’t know Ben was leaving, show won’t be the same. Not sure I like Tom being back either. We’ll see how it goes.

Andrea adds: Yes … I cried!!! But … I am a mum … and could sooo relate!!! I think Tom is going to be trouble … and just when Coby is coming good, too! Thanks for popping by … especially when I have been so slack doing blog hopping. Hugs xxaxx

    1. It’s alright, I’ve been slack doing blog writing and card making. Have been buying up supplies and planning what to buy, and what to sell. Then need to actually make something LOL xox
Andrea adds: I like “planning what to buy” … it’s a bit like window shopping … isn’t it! We sigh and we oooh & aaaah … and we know that we definitely CAN’T have it all!!! 😉 Hugs xxaxx

Andrea I know what it is like to be a full-time carer and the need for some ‘time out’ and some me crafting time, so I am glad you found our colour challenge not only a challenge but an opportunity to create and to use also your new products! Look after yourself so you can continue to look after those you need to care for. Cyber hugs! ♥
Andrea adds: What a lovely message, Mae! Thanks for your care … and advice! 😀 Hugs xxaxx
