What a surprise!

Hello girls!

Have you ever found that you have used a stamp set several times … but there is one particular stamp image that you haven’t ever inked up? This Punch Bunch “For You” stamp is one of those non-descript images … and I finally got around to inking it up! Well … wasn’t I surprised with the result! 😀 It is such a sweet little stamp … I wonder why I never noticed its potential before??

I wanted to say a big CONGRATS to the girls over at “Just Us Girls” … who are celebrating their 100th challenge this week! I have only played a few times … but always enjoy it when I do! This sketch was the original no. 1 challenge sketch … that has been re-cycled in honour of the 100 milestone! I need to pop back and leave some comments … I hope you can do the same?

Also … this is an interesting … but GORGEOUS colour combo … don’t you think? I looked at this colour challenge for a few minutes before deciding … “Hhhmmm … yep … could work!” And … I was once again pleasantly surprised with the results! 🙂 This is the current challenge for Simply Stampin’ … and I enjoyed working with a combo that wouldn’t have occurred to me if they hadn’t suggested it! That is the great thing about challenges … trying things that you normally wouldn’t! 😀

See you all soon! Hugs xxaxx

PS: Added 15th Sept … I was thrilled to discover today that I won the BIG blog candy prize for the Simply Stampin’ Challenge with this entry! Thanks girls for putting a smile on my face.  I am so excited … because I have never won any blog candy before! Hugs xxaxx

I can guarentee you that ur set has seen WAY more ink than mine. You have definitely used the impact colour of this quartet as the WOW colour. I do love this card Andrea. May have to even give mine an airing…hee hee hee. The subtle softer tones look so lovely together.. Love it. ooxx
Andrea adds: Thanks Lynda! I really was pleasantly surprised at how well this combo worked! It is great to get some “think outside the square” inspiration from some great challenge blogs! My own unique mojo is very lazy at the moment! I am doing lots of challenges … so I don’t have to think! Hugs xxaxx

Lovely soft colour combo – with lots of detail for the eyes to see. The ribbons add a wow factor to it too. Very nice card, Andrea.

How could you miss that stamp? I am glad you found it, because you’ve given it a second lease on ‘stamping life’ or perhaps it’s a first lease in your case! What a great card and wonderful challenge.
    Cheers
