A Mini Card

Hi again bloggies!

I think I need a holiday!!! I think it might be the only answer for the flagging mojo … but as this isn’t going to happen for a while … I hope you don’t mind if I continue to draw inspiration from some of the fantastic challenges that are available to help with ideas to ‘kick start’ a card. This CAS-ual Friday challenge was such a fun one … remember … it is a CAS (Clean & Simple) challenge … so I didn’t want to overdo it!!!

I do love this sweet DSP (a “hostess only” from the new 2011/2012 IB&C) … and it was the perfect choice for a “MINI CARD”. This one measures 10.5 x 10.5cm (approx 4″ x 4″) I hadn’t pulled out my Scallop Envelope Die for ages … and now I am wondering why??? Isn’t it just great on the front of this “invitation for a coffee date” card! A few little Rhinestone jewels to add a tiny amount of bling … a little bit of sponging … and voila! Super cute … don’t you think???

I have a busy week this week … so this is actually a scheduled post. Mum has appointments 3 days this week. Yesterday was the Infectious Diseases team … Today is the Orthopaedic specialist followed by the Heart specialist. Thankfully the ID doc decided it was time for the PICC line to come out yesterday … so the planned visits to the TACT dept to have the antibiotics changed over the next couple of days … are no longer needed!!! Yayayaya! 😀 We have had a couple of hiccups in the last week or so. Mum had to be taken off 2 of the 3 antibiotics because her white blood cell count was quite low … and then on Sunday we spent 3 1/2 hrs at the emergency dept on advice from the TACT nurse when mum’s arm decided to swell a little. But … an ultrasound revealed there were no clots evident … and so we were very thankful to return home again. The 2 oral antibiotics have been resumed today with regular blood tests to monitor the platelettes & white blood cell count. It is still a bit of a road ahead. The next hurdle is to get her driving again! So … it still is busy busy busy … but hopefully things are finally settling down a little. 😀 I hope to be back “live” again asap! Hugs xxaxx
