Something completely different!

Hi bloggies!

It is Saturday morning … and after another busy non-stamping week … (apart from my 1 Christmas Card) I was determined to sit and play a little this morning! I popped over to the CR84FN Colour Challenge blog … to check out their combo … and was greeted with this fab challenge …

My friend Monika's beautiful inspiration!

Well … that got my cogs turning … because I was over on Monika’s blog recently … and saw THIS gorgeous card … and bookmarked it to use as a colour combo idea. I love how Monika puts colour together … so I loosely based my card on her creation.

MY CR84FN39 entry!

So … the jury is still OUT on this one. I am a little disappointed with the “yellow” in the photos … because IRL it is brighter. Perhaps I should have used “Daffodil Delight” instead of “So Saffron”. For some reason … my card just doesn’t have the X-Factor that Monika’s does … but I thought I would share it with you because it is something completely outside of my usual style. And … after all … I did make it for the CR84FN39 challenge! 😀 Hey … can anyone tell me what CR84FN stands for??? I browsed the website … but couldn’t find the answer anywhere! 🙂

Well … Gav, Skye & Sandy are off to the surf shop to check out the sale on “steamers” … Ree is out for brekky with her cousin … and Shane is busy with uni work … soooooooo … I might do some more stamping!!!!!! 😀 See you again soon! Hugs xxx

PS: Don’t forget to leave a comment on the INK4U! Christmas 2011 post to go in the draw for a FREE PASS! I am keen to hear about an exciting 3D project that you have to share with me! Hugs xxx

I really like this card Andrea, love the colours you have chosen, and love how you used the extra punchie shape (the one on the right hand side of the sentiment) I never know what to do with that one, but yours looks great, well done 🙂
