Happiness is stamping with friends!

Festive Friday #6

Added Thursday 23rd: I am so excited to win again over at Nicole’s Festive Friday challenges with this card! But … I am also a little embarrassed that I was 1 of 2 entries! (And … seriously … Nicki deserved the award too!) If you get a chance next week … please pop by Nicole’s blog and leave a bit of blog love … and please enter a card into her challenge! I am so glad to be getting a start on my Christmas cards … and by doing a card each week … I will have a huge pile … and no last minute throwing cards together!

Hi my friends!

Well … you all must be very busy … only 1 comment on yesterday’s card!!! But … I am SO not complaining … because I haven’t had a chance to do any blog hopping for a few days … so I certainly know how life can get in the way of creativity & blogging! I just hope you are doing okay? I thought I should post my card for Nicole’s Festive Friday #6 challenge … before the deadline! :)

The idea for Nicole’s challenges is to take inspiration from the Christmas Cards that her DT girls design each week. Well … my inspiration this week is actually from a couple of cards! :D I have used “sparkle” – from Carolyn’s card … “punched squares”  –  from Tina’s card … “punch art Santa” –  from Brook’s card … and “colours” from Tina & Nicole’s cards. I had fun creating the Santa … and I used the Iridescent Ice embossing powder (yes! … AGAIN!!!) to add the sparkle to the fur on Santa’s hat & his beard.  PLEASE … PLEASE … IF YOU HAVE A FEW SPARE MINUTES … NICOLE WOULD LOVE SOME MORE ENTRIES FOR HER CHALLENGE! And … what a better way to get a head start on your Christmas cards.

Hhhhmmmm …. something suspicious is happening today. 2 of my girls are getting together to do “something” that I am not allowed to see!!!?????? Not sure what to make of that??? It has made me ask the question … do I trust my girls???? Well … yes … but I am not sure about this!!! Have a nice day … I am watching a DVD with my mum “The Secret Life of Bees”. I know nothing about it … but my sis & her girls said it was great! Hugs xxx

  1. Loving your MR SANTA – so cute! The whole card is a great combination!!
Yes, I’ve been busy over the last couple of weeks, and have only caught glimpses of your cards. Maybe I should take more time & then the inspiration might rub off!!
Hope all is going well with you & with Sheree & the whole tribe!… I’ve been catching a few days work, which makes life busier…
    Love to all,
    Gabbi ♥
Andrea adds: Hi Gabbi! So nice to see you! I have missed your little chats! I can imagine how tricky it is to be working and caring for your family! Glad you are picking up the days here & there! MR SANTA is very cute … I should have acknowledged that I have seen these in several places in blog land … but don’t know the original designer to pass on the credit. Take care, hunny! Hugs xxx

Andrea adds: No worried, Nicole! Hope you get some more entries! Hugs xxx

  3. What a sweet Santa card Andrea. Love the sparkly paper. I {heart} the ribbon treatment! You must be in for a special treat! Hope it’s a nice surprise from the girls.
Andrea adds: I am SUPER curious … but won’t hassle … because they won’t want the surprise spoilt! The sparkly paper is created with Iridescent Ice embossing powder! :) Easy! Hugs xxx

  4. I love this Andrea. Aren’t these Santa faces cute??? The glimmer paper really adds a different dimension. Love the simple squares.
I have every intention of entering these challenges…but this week I have a house full of sickies….and yet again have been thwarted. I wld love it if they were less frequent than weekly….but all I can offer is support and encouragement at present. Congrats on winning the last challenge BTW. ooxx
Andrea adds: Thanks my friend! It was nice to get the award! I do hope there are some more entries this week … so Nicole can share it around! I know she realises how busy we all are! BTW … glimmer paper is actually whisper white / iridescent ice embossed! Hugs xxx
