Happy Easter! I hope you all have a safe & happy break as you celebrate the significance of this special weekend. We are spending Easter at home. There is so much to catch up on around the house … and we have had no time lately to do anything! So … it will be a lot of work … church … and perhaps we will find some time to have a treat or two!? 😉
One great thing about having a stamping day with friends … is that you get to play with goodies you may not have yourself. The BAD thing is … that you come home wanting all the things they have that you don’t!!!!!!! 😯 🙄 But … oh … what fun! The edgelits dies in the new SU! mini catty are fabulous … and one thing I did indulge in. Unfortunately I didn’t buy the matching stamp set … but … now I have played with Leonie’s … I definitely HAVE to have it!!! 😀 It just has the prettiest border to fit inside the scallop edgelit! I did 2 ‘ooops’ on this card … I grabbed Very Vanilla card instead of white … and then I picked up my Blushing Bride marker instead of Pretty in Pink … BUT … I actually was thrilled with the combo … because it looks a little ‘old world’ … with a lace border! I wanted to share Leonie’s version of this card … because she did a beautiful job of watercolouring her flowers. (Mine were coloured with markers.)
So … neither Leonie or I can take credit for this card. Leonie found it on a NING site somewhere … and it was originally created by Anne Westerneg. I have searched and searched so I can give a link back … but I couldn’t find a mention anywhere. I am happy to pass on the credit … if someone can let me know.
Well … I shouldn’t have looked … truly!!! Is it any wonder I have grey hairs … when this is what I can see looking out my window? I know I have told you before how much I hate tractors. Gav is driving and Sandy is spraying the ‘noxious weeds’ that we are required by law to deal with. The blackberry is thriving after all the recent rains … and we also have some parramatta grass coming through. My jobs for today … clean out the linen cupboard & the kitchen linen / cleaning stuff cupboard. I guess I had better get on with it!
Such a lovely card! I love Leonie’s watercolored version but I think I love yours better 🙂 I guess it’s the Vanilla base that does it for me. Thanks for sharing…this one I will have to case as well! Hugs!
Andrea adds: Thanks Leslee! I do think Leonie’s is beautiful and soft! Just a different ‘look’ I guess! Hugs xxx

I was sooooooooooooooooo hoping to play with this set on the Easter break…but thanks to Aussie Post…only 1 box instead of 2 were delivered…so (sniff) I get to play with glue and 3/5 incolours!!! I do love this card and am DYING to get my hands on this set. The colours are so v v PURDY…wld not worry abt the oopses…they add to the charm!! Great card.
I concur with the grey hair theory….MEN…and boys!!! Hope they get thru OK….and not get noxious themselves!! ooxx
Andrea adds: All safe and sound! Sandy said he nearly fell off the tractor a few times … but then he had the idea to sit … rather than stand on the bucket! He was a big help to Gav … spent about 3 hours spraying … then he washed & vacuumed our two cars. I think he deserves a day off tomorrow!? I am so sorry you only got 1/2 of your delivery! That would be so frustrating … with an Easter break ahead! I have a few new goodies (non SU!) that I would like to find some time to play with! My mum is staying for the weekend … so may be entertaining her … rather than stamping??? Hugs xxx

It was a fun play day Andrea. You have done such a gorgeous job with the colouring and Leonie’s is gorgeous too in the softer colours. I have put mine together and am happier with it now. I will show it soon on my blog.
Glad you had a lovely Easter. Will catch up soon,
Love Jenny xx
Andrea adds: Can’t wait to see your ‘finished’ card, Jenny! Tracey & I were trying to catch you at church … but you escaped out the back door! 😉 We have organised next play date! See you next week! Hugs xxx

Both versions of the design are gorgeous Andrea, yours has an olde world feel & Leonie’s is fresh & crisp. That pleated ribbon is just divine, I am busting to break out the pear roll I bought. 😉 Hugs
Boys & their toys…. what can we say???
Andrea adds: I don’t have any of the pleated ribbon yet … Leonie very kindly shared hers! Hhhmmm … yes … it is on the wish list! Hugs xxx
