Festive Friday #18

Hi bloggies!

I had planned to add this card to the Simply Stampin’ Sketch Challenge for May 5th … but (giggle) … as I was loading the photos … I realised that I had used NON-SU! products for a SU! only challenge!!! 🙄 I am a dumbspud! Sometimes I really wonder where my brain is!!! Obviously I didn’t end up submitting it for the challenge.

I also chose a colour challenge from over at Nicole’s Festive Friday #18 … but again … I didn’t really comply completely with this challenge. I wanted to use my Cherry Cobbler embossing powder for this card … and whilst it is not “Real Red” … I hope it is ok to enter the challenge!??? I was on a roll … wasn’t I??? 😉 😀

So … I hadn’t done any embossing for a while … and had a fancy to do so! The snowflakes are embossed with clear embossing … to fill the background … and the ornament is embossed also. I did try some Iridescent Ice on the snowflakes to start with … but … for once … I found it a little “too much”. The clear was much more subtle!

I am off to a wedding this afternoon for a very special friend. We are so thrilled that she has finally found “Mr Right” … and they are so happy together! It will be a real celebration! I plan to show you the wedding card I made for her on Monday! Until then … have a happy weekend. And … HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the mothers out there in blog land. I hope you are all spoilt rotten!!! 🙂
