Skateboard!

Hi Bloggies!

No … I am not on the DT! There doesn’t seem to be a badge for participating or for each challenge! I just wanted to highlight where it is! xx

I discovered a couple of new challenges this week. I knew that I had to make a male b’day card for my nephew … so with a lack of mojo … I turned to some ‘male’ challenges to help out! Mind you … both these challenges were pretty “general” … so I ended up having to think for myself … something I have been a little lazy with lately! 😉 The “Cards for Men” challenge blog is running challenge #10 called “Kicking Back”. Quite easy really … I mean “kicking back” could mean anything leisurely to a guy!!! The second challenge is from “Allsorts Challenge Blog” — challenge #154 – Card for a Man or Boy. So … I am entering this card in both challenges! 😀

So … I pulled out my Prismacolor Pencils for this card. I hadn’t played with them in a little while … so it was nice to use them again! I chose the DSP first … then went with the DSP colours to colour in my skateboarder! I am guessing that skateboarding falls under the category of ‘Kicking Back’! Instead of highlighting and shading with a different colour … I just added more of the same colour to build it up. (except for the vanilla on the T Shirt). I thought this was a “really cool” image … Saturated Canary “Skateboard” DIGI image  … hence the “Real Cool” sentiment!

Well … have to fly … catch up to do!! I am away on a church camp for the weekend … so I won’t see you again until Monday (or so!). Hope you have a lovely weekend too! Hugs xxx

  5. I have to say I think you’re a sandwich short of a picnic if you think my card is way better than yours!! It isn’t, period! Yours is so co-ordinated and brilliantly coloured that my coloured pencil effort pales in comparison. I’m out of my depth with pencils as I prefer water colouring but can’t do that on a digi image. My background technique is so simple and was a complete get out as I didn’t have time to match papers or think about a LO!! However, I appreciate you stopping by and you REALLY made me laugh, so thanks for that!!

    Hugs
