Skye turns 20!

Skye 20Hi bloggies!

Another milestone for our family … with our 4th kid moving from their teens into their 20s. Isn’t it great that I still have 6 years before the next one does. Sandy keeps me feeling young! 😀 I think I am very clever … because all 5 birthdays (kid b’days) fall in the school holidays. (Occasionally … with Easter being at different times of the month … Sandy has had the odd b’day at school.) So it is nice to be able to enjoy their b’days without the hassle of school or uni. I guess … as they all move into full time employment … this will change … but with Sheree & Skye becoming teachers … they will still be able to enjoy their b’days at home!

Aren’t the colours pretty!? I had some fun using my Prismacolour Pencils again … and added a little sponging to all the DSP & white card. I think it makes the cut / punched images ‘POP’ a little more. I have also popped the framed image of Wryn & the sentiment image up on foam tape … to give a little depth to the card.

I just love these Tiddly Ink “Wryn” DIGI images and have purchased a few … but much to my dismay … Debbie has just done a gorgeous “Rapunzel” card using another sweet image from a different stamp site called “Make it Crafty”. I am so keen now to get my hands on some of their stamps! BAD BAD Debbie! 😀  🙄 This card did take a little time to make. I was determined to learn how to merge DIGI images and went straight to Debbie’s blog to find out how. Debbie has shared a FAB tutorial. Unfortunately, she has an older version of Paint … so I had to go surfing the web to find another tutorial. Not very successfully … I must admit … so A CHALLENGE FOR MY BLOGGIES … please find me a tutorial for merging DIGI images (stamp images) using Windows 2010 with PAINT. (2010)

Well … more ‘wedding shopping’ to do! It is absolutely amazing what you can find on the internet for a fraction of the cost at the shops! I would really like to support local retailers … BUT … some items are just too hard to resist! And … being in a regional town … rather than a big city … also means limited places to shop … and limited product range! I am amazed how much we have been able to do on line! Off to order my papers & cards for the invitations. We got a little distracted yesterday looking for shoes, bags & jewellery!  And … our TV ‘blew up’ on Tuesday … and we just HAD TO HAVE A NEW ONE … for the State of Origin rugby league FINAL last night! Yayayayaya! Queensland won! Will be back again soon!

  2. HI … ANDREA HERE … POSTING A COMMENT FOR DEBBIE … WHO ISN’T ABLE TO GET ACCESS TO THE COMMENTS! I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE THESE DETAILS FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED ABOUT PAINT & MERGING IMAGES. HUGS XXX

    From Debbie ……

Hey sweetie – just saw your GORGEOUS Wryn card – those subtle tones are STUNNING my friend – and congrats to your beautiful daughter too!

I also read you were trying to merge images using paint – I actually use paint.NET which is a free download. Check it out and see if that helps! If not let me know what problems you are having and I’ll see if I can help. I have also found a new tool on paint.NET which makes merging even EASIER! I must update my tutorial!!!! Thanx for the reminder!

Thought I had worked out the issue with wordpress – just have to try it now. I think my big problem is I’m trying to go to the link via the email instead of directly through your blog.

    lotsaluv as always

  8. My kids have birthdays during school holidays and they HATE it. They have never been able to bring in cupcakes to share with their classmates.

I read all about your kids … I could actually name them … but somehow I have never added them up! I only have two and I often think that is one or two too many…I don’t know how you do it (and do it so well!)
