Well … they say ‘time flies when you are having fun’ … but I’m not sure the reason I haven’t blogged in a week is FUN!!! I am snowed with bookwork … have had a funeral to attend … etc etc etc … BUT … We did have fun on Saturday with all the crew … Me & my 3 girls (4 if you count Bree) … My mum, sis & her 2 girls … and my mum-i-l! All the invitations, ceremony programs & place cards were all cut, embossed, ribboned & pretty well finished except for the cake image that still needs to be attached! We achieved so much … and I was thrilled. I still have 180 cake images to colour (prismacolour pencils), blend & fussy cut … but that will just be done as I find the time now! It was tiring … but so worthwhile! I am so thankful for all the help … because this DUMBSPUD mother did choose a design that was a little more ambitious than she thought!!! The embossing was a last minute decision … too (rather than black stamped image) … and I only had a tiny bit of gold embossing powder … so I had to scrounge around for some the night before! Thankfully my sis … and a friend had a tub each … and that was enough to get the job done! 🙂I am sharing a card today that I made at our last stamping/friendship day at Leonie’s. I have had this card on file to CASE since Nov’10. I didn’t have the stamp set that Lee (Conroy) used … but I love the multi-coloured image that I substituted! This is a simple card … but sooo elegant … don’t you think? Thanks Lee, for the inspiration! Better stop procrastinating … that pile of bookwork is calling!! 😀
I always stop by and read your blog, not one for commenting though… I love your card, and I think your card is nicer than the original! Love the multicoloured image, and the crimped (scored?) bottom section!
I do really like this idea for a sympathy card…and by chance…I happened to know of someone at wk (staffer) who will req one. Love the multicoloured Image!!
Big Bravo on the mass production effort. If you are a DUMBSPUD…you are my all time fave. As usual…remember to breathe and I look v v fwd to seeing your crew’s efforts. ooxx
Well when someone like me who only gets to visit every now and then notices that you haven’t posted in a while, that must mean something! Love this card… Of course the colour scheme is a favourite! It was fun helping on Saturday, even if I was a bit over that stamp by the time I had done 100 invitations and 160 place cards!! Lovely for us all to spend time together.
This is stunning, like it with this stamp set and lovely colour combo. Well done on all the wedding work!
Can’t wait to see all the pretty invitations and place cards. I am sure it’s a fabulous design. It must have been fun having all the girls together and craft like that!
Lovely card. Such pretty colors Andrea. The ribbon and embossed bottom part look fabulous. Very elegant.
Love the coloured stamped images, very pretty, and a lovely card to boot, What fun to start all that prep with family members makes it a little easier and quicker, can’t wait to see it all, and have fun with all the upcoming colouring and fussy cutting, it will be worth it in the end. Hope you ad a great weekend, hugs Melxx
