Time Flies … Having fun???

Hi Bloggies!

Well … they say ‘time flies when you are having fun’ … but I’m not sure the reason I haven’t blogged in a week is FUN!!! I am snowed with bookwork … have had a funeral to attend … etc etc etc … BUT … We did have fun on Saturday with all the crew … Me & my 3 girls (4 if you count Bree) … My mum, sis & her 2 girls … and my mum-i-l! All the invitations, ceremony programs & place cards were all cut, embossed, ribboned & pretty well finished except for the cake image that still needs to be attached! We achieved so much … and I was thrilled. I still have 180 cake images to colour (prismacolour pencils), blend & fussy cut … but that will just be done as I find the time now! It was tiring … but so worthwhile! I am so thankful for all the help … because this DUMBSPUD mother did choose a design that was a little more ambitious than she thought!!! The embossing was a last minute decision … too (rather than black stamped image) … and I only had a tiny bit of gold embossing powder … so I had to scrounge around for some the night before! Thankfully my sis … and a friend had a tub each … and that was enough to get the job done! 🙂

I am sharing a card today that I made at our last stamping/friendship day at Leonie’s. I have had this card on file to CASE since Nov’10. I didn’t have the stamp set that Lee (Conroy) used … but I love the multi-coloured image that I substituted! This is a simple card … but sooo elegant … don’t you think? Thanks Lee, for the inspiration!

 

Better stop procrastinating … that pile of bookwork is calling!! 😀
