I found a new Christmas Card Challenges blog … and I thought this Christmas card that I made recently at a friendship stamping day would fit the challenge perfectly! 3 of ‘something’? Not 3 trees (obviously) 😉 … but 3 rhinestone jewels …
I was really tickled with this creation … it is quite pretty isn’t it? Leonie & Jenny also made this card with different colours that were just gorgeous! I did have a photo somewhere … but I can’t seem to find it. I hope Jenny won’t mind me borrowing one from her blog! Leonie’s is the Wisteria Wonder card … and Jenny’s is the Pool Party. Don’t forget you can click on any of the pics in my posts to view better detail.
The trees are stamped with Versamark & embossed with white embossing. The ink was sponged on … graduating the different tones of green from light to dark.
I am itching to stamp … and have several cards I NEED to make! I did manage to do a Father’s Day card for my F-I-L … and an 18th for my nephew. I will share those as soon as I find time to edit the photos and do a card recipe! 😀
I would also like to submit this for the Jingle Bells “Bingo” Challenge. BINGO – means I need to pick 3 elements in a row – either horizontal, vertical or diagonal. I have chosen the bottom line … “Heat Embossing/Tree/Ribbon”!
I do need to get going on my Christmas cards more seriously … because … with the wedding on the 8th Dec … I do need to be organised ahead of time! So I imagine I will be checking these two challenge blogs regularly for ideas! Back to my bookwork … I have taken far too long to get into it today!!! C U Soon!
PS: I can’t remember where I got the idea for this card? It may have been online … or may have come from my own tired little brain? If I have CASED your work here … please let me know because I am always very diligent to acknowledge any original inspiration! 😉
ADDED: Thanks, Fi 🙂 … here is the link … RENEE VAN STRALEN – Stamping for Sanity Thanks for the inspiration Renee! ( I guess this card shouldn’t be counted for either challenge … seeing it isn’t my own design! … Sorry!)
I have also updated the card recipe … which was incomplete! Thanks Trisha … for the heads up! 😀
Ahhhhhhhhhh the ribbon whisperer and embossing queen returns with avengance!!! I remember seeing these on Jenny’s blog. I vaguely recall making comment abt you and greens!! Love the softness of this card and brilliant that you can enter it into a couple of challenges.
Hope all is well in ur world. ooxx

Hi Andrea,
Funny that we both posted ’emboss resist’ today. Your card is just gorgeous, the trees show up beautifully against the green spongin. A really pretty card. It’s a shame that uni starts back this week, my fun time blog-hopping, commenting, and blogging may start to decline 😦 but I’ll try x

Father’s Day was tricky on Sunday … Stace & Jono didn’t get here from Sydney until 4.30 … and Gav’s mum & dad here for tea! That’s the great thing about going in the morning … if something comes up later … then you have the flexibility to not go! Missed you too! Was hoping I could ‘BUY’ a new catty from you? Do you have any spares??? Hugs xxx

hi again! just saw your comment at JINGLE BELLES and wanted to say no worries, we are all for CASE-ing; we even had a prompt last year in which everyone HAD TO do that! we’re just about having ♥FUN♥ making holiday cards all year, rather than letting the project turn into a big rushed lump of stress on december 1st! (which is what i personally did EVERY YEAR until 2011, lol!)
we do hope you will be back to share more of your lovely work… however it is inspired… we think MORE is ALWAYS merrier! ♥
