A Christmas Wish …

Hi Bloggies!
I hope you are all organised for Christmas & can take some chill out time before the madness of the Christmas break. I have a cooking day today … And have to pop out to the shops to get the prawns … But am mostly on top of things. We are having all our kids here to sleep-over tonight (Christmas Eve) with a yummy dinner, card playing for the boys, carols watching for the girls & special nibbles. Christmas Breakfast is a family favourite … An egg, pancetta & baby spinach bake & I found another custard bake with chocolate profiteroles. Lunch is here with my extended family. Yummy BBQ, prawns & fancy salads. Of course … Followed by ice cream layered dessert & pavlova. Dinner is left overs. Boxing Day is at Gav’s mum & dad’s. We always have the trad Christmas roast dinner. Pork, Turkey, Ham & all the trimmings …followed by my famous cassata & other desserts. I have been cooking over the last couple of days … And have made red/green coconut ice, a new FABULOUS white rocky road with cranberries & some choc crackle mini puddings! It has been busy. I thought things would quieten after the wedding … But perhaps after Christmas??? It is going to be a special time with all the family.

With Sheree now gone … Skye has moved into her room … And Sandy has moved out of the room he has shared with Shane for the last 12 or so years … Into Skye’s old room. One hitch …. Pink walls & Pink carpet! Yikes! We can’t do anything about the carpet … But at least we can paint the walls! So … Just in case we didn’t have enough to do before Christmas … Gav & Sandy managed to completely paint Sandy’s new bedroom … 2 coats with a feature wall too, on Saturday! Sandy is itching to move in … But I have said AFTER Christmas!! He can sleep in there …but his “stuff” doesn’t go in until AFTER Christmas! I couldn’t bear the mess of moving … When I have all the family here for Christmas!

Well … This was meant to be just a Merry Christmas post … And I have been rabbiting on instead! I do hope you all have a very special time with family & friends over the holiday break … And take some time to thank God for the wonderful blessing He gave to us … His Son! Be kind, compassionate & thankful for all our blessings. We have so much to be thankful for! I will be remembering those who are spending Christmas without loved ones … especially those in Newtown US. Thank you all for your friendship, encouragement & support over the past year. It has been such fun!

Scentsational Season ric-rac (4)Scentsational Season ric-rac (2)I thought I would share a last Christmas card … With you all.  This was a fun design I CASE-d from Catherine Stockley from Catherine Loves Stamps. I think I found it through Google Images for the “Scentsational Seasons” stamp set & die. Thanks for the happy inspiration, Catherine! Happy Christmas everyone!

Well, my cereal for Breakfast and salad for lunch all sounds a bit boring to your lovely spread. Enjoy!! I do hope you get to sit and relax with all that preparation.
