Heat + Kids = No Stamping!

Well … thankfully the record heat temps are past … and we have bearably cooler weather now. On Friday … temps got up to 45.8°C (114°F). And … twice during that day we lost our electricity. We all got into the pool during the blackout to cool off … but couldn’t bear the oven like air surrounding us. We only lasted about 10 mins … and had to retreat to the house. But … the cool water had an effect for a little while. Definitely NO STAMPING in that heat … (the Tues of the week before had temps over 40°C too!) Stace & Jono are going on hols for 2 weeks in early Feb so … I will have a couple of free days for stamping! And … I am going on a craft retreat with some SU! friends mid Feb. I hope I get heaps done during that time! Anyway … I still have some cards to share … and here is another of the male run from the end of last year!

I do love this surfboard stamp … particularly for teen boys. This was made for one of my nephews. The surfboard stamp always makes an easy male card … and always looks fun! The sand is just torn vanilla card with some Crumb Cake sponging. Looks effective … doesn’t it!

Well … I have Bree & mum here today … so better go and be sociable! Shane arrives home tomorrow YAY! 7.15am … so I will need to leave home about 5.45am to get up to Sydney in time. Yikes! But … it will be so nice to see him after almost a month of being away. I can’t wait to see his photos … although he says he has over 3000 pics!!! I will try and get back a bit sooner. Sorry it has been awhile!
